The thought process was probably that the Leafs drafted a diminutive skilled winger in Marner and there was a lesser organizational need for a guy that probably has less upside in the long run.

Also, Konecny plays with Couturier and Voracek...

Panik, like Stalberg, are guys who couldn't quite get it done on our weak teams, but revitalized themselves playing with a strong team in Chicago; it's bound to happen.

Good regular NHLers at this point, probably be cap victims by their early 30s.

I was more so talking about Fake. But can count for both, I'd agree. Aeth is very complimentary of most other teams and their future. Just not the organization he "supports".

29 goals in 129 games. He's a replaceable player.

He's a guy who has to play with skilled players to succeed. For me. I wouldn't waste a spot on him.
