Blues have one of the best lineups in hockey, unless they have a poor game, or Markstrom stands on his head, I don't see this as being particularly close.
Also, as much as it pains me, I think it's time to send Virtanen down for a multiple game stint in the AHL. I SO WANTED BENNING TO BE RIGHT ABOUT JAKE - LeftCoaster

Hewitt in Miller out - VANTEL
I love the relationship with Utica.
The facility, the fans and everything are great. But tonight is an example of why it would be better to have our affiliate on the west coast.
Even worse than the Utica situation is the Alaska ECHL affiliate.
Just too much work to fly Garteig to the East Coast, and Bachman to the West Coast. Or, to even fly Garteig 2,000 miles to Vancouver.
Fingers crossed that Markstrom stays out of harms way tonight...
Although another Chris Leveque close call could be fun.
Or... if Markstrom and Hewitt got injured, Cloutier would have to gear up... now that would be fun. |

I was disappointed by his little cheap shot the other night.
Nothing came of it, but you need to be more responsible when an opponent is in a vulnerable position, sliding towards the boards at high speed.
I have been on the side of sending him to Utica since the end of last season, and so far he's only re-enforced that belief.
The kid has a bright future and will be a major piece in the next generation here. But I think a few months riding the bus and learning how to be a pro will go a long way. Once Rodin is back, Jake should be sent packing. |

Random though here, but when Rodin is healthy, instead of sending JV down why not make a pitch for Evander Kane, hell be out for a month or so, so asking price could be lower, send burrows++ (cap reasons) We have no other forwards like Jake, so why not get Kane and have him on a line with JV |

Wow I figured it would be at the very least Nov/Dec before Miller pulled the injury card out.
Oh well...here you go Marky...run with it. |

Miller trade would mean we would have a goalie coming back. OR.
Markstrom/Bachman
Demko/Garteig in Utica.
I highly highly highly doubt it is anything more than Miller just not feeling quite right.
Agreed - wouldn't they just put him on the bench if that were the case instead of an emergency call up? |

It would be fun if they used a beach ball instead of a puck. |

How come other people (like vantel) seem to have 3 spare players on their team, but I can't add any? |

Injured players can be moved to the IR+ slot, thus freeing a roster spot. When they get healthy you have to drop someone |

My buddy and beer league goalie was going to backup tonight if ubc goalie couldn't.
He's practiced with Canucks a few times during preseason. Would have been hilarious. |

He has 1 IR and 3 extra players(one would take the IR) so he still has 2 extra. I show 3 empty spots on my roster in the matchup page. But i can't add players to it. |
