Our coaches deployment is bad yet we find a way to go 3-0 to start the year? I'm confused.

I agree WD has made questionable decisions but I understand what he is trying to do. The Sedin's are too old to carry the play the entire time during a 9 game/15 day stint followed up by a 15 game/22 day stint. If anything WD is trying to spread the load and not risk any injuries by any increased workloads. Nobody else is experienced enough as a group yet besides the Sedins.

I honestly have no idea why this is all Dragon has to say after three incredibly strong defensive games by a team that he claims to be a fan of.... #winning

I guess then youre judging by a single post because I have said how much the D has changed a few times already. Get your facts straight before you say something like that about a poster

I like the team, it's roster and the new guys on the staff. Just dont want 2 of them here is all

Last Year's Trades:

Jared McCann is currently playing for the Panthers. (Gudbranson)
Dane Fox is currently playing in the ECHL for Missouri Mavericks. (F.C.)
Hunter Shinkaruk is in the AHL for the Stockholm Heat. (Grandlund)
Nicklas Jensen is in the AHL for Hartford WolfPack (Etem)
Adam Clendending plays for the Rangers Via the Penguins (Sutter)
Nick Bonino plays for the Penguins (Sutter)

In my opinion:

Gudbranson > McCann
Fox ----- unknown
Granlund > Shrink
Jensen and Etem are both pushes. (Etam has played 1 game with the Ducks)
Bonino would not have had an impact in Vancouver. Sutter does.

Therefore, although Benning takes a lot of heat, he is not doing too poorly.

Nice breakdown....no fair shake for a young regime by the clue less media especially out of market ....

seems the Vey for a second only loser trade and that is offset by the big win on Baer for a 2nd ....

So JB may have over paid for a couple of UFA's... signed a few guys they let go now that didn't work out and wait he didn't squeeze out trades for Hammer and Virbata at the TDL... which wasn't a black and white situation but oh well.

But his biggest problem is he has tried to be competitive instead of blow up the team and have the Nucks bottom feed for years

I guess good drafting means getting the sure thing consensus pick at the time up and then screwing the pooch the rest of the way in the draft is fine

I was having this exact argument on here the other day with someone.
People have this idea that he has lost most of the trades he has made, but if you look back, he's won most, a few draw's and lost a couple (Kesler trade and that prospect that is playing for Chicago for Clendenning), overall, pretty, pretty.....pretty good.

- dbot

Yeah look at the assets he has had and NTC to deal with .... not a position of strength and still got decent return... 2 years people to fill in holes ... get younger and build for the day Sedins leave... well Rome wasn't built in a day... but the Nucks are getting better they just don't have the big flashy super star so we get no love ... well the Sedins were put down for years but turned pretty good... we got some time with our young and in coming too... plus more drafting to do that will get us there ... some strides so far forward not backward .... unless your belief is the only way is to suck for years and hope you win the lotto with a savior once a decade

I only included last year's trades.... and the Kesler deal was done at the end of a shotgun. He offered 1 team to be traded and even though it could be argued he lost the trade --- did he really???? Kesler is playing totally selfish (big surprise) --- I mean during the world cup he was constantly out of position, refused to use wingers and was doing way too much for way too little.

Kes, while wonderful for 1 season... needed his diving, primadonna, singular mindset had to go. Benning did that right away. Good decision.

The only thing Anaheim has is a huge contract and equally huge ego. Would they be anywhere closer to a cup today without him?

Abos is a racist term. Aboriginal is the correct term in Australia. They have 3 official flags there with the Aboriginal flag and Torres Straight Islanders. Note, there 3 flags are not dissimilar the Canuck uniform colours.

Funny how the line between racism comes down to abbreviating a word.

Mats Sundin..........................1349
Daniel Alfredson....................1157
Nicklas Lidstrom....................1142
Hank....................................972
Danny...................................944

(Naslund is 7th)

378 Points to go to be the all time Swedish Player

Thats 5 more seasons at 75 points. Does he got that in him?

170 Behind 3rd or 3 seasons at 68.

Sundin played 20 years, Hank 15. So if he played another 5 he would be somewhere around 1296 points. Close to Matts.

I think we'd all like to know how he's playing under a decent coach for a change. Our coaching is clearly inferior, which is why all the players we trade do so well elsewhere.

(a) Players going to different Conferences are a factor. Bonino for example.

(b) Is the player working for the coach, doing what's asked of him? Etem for example.

(c) Is the player responsible in their own end of the ice? Shinkaruk for example

Another example is....

Why is it when a man talks dirty to a woman it's sexual harassment, and when a woman talks dirty to a man it's $2.95 a minute?

jv getting a reputation of what, throwing clean hits. The eastern media gave him the reputation because he plays for the nucks and not the leafs, now the memo is out by the league to cheap shot him to tone him down because of what he will become which is a human wrecking ball. I hate this league because of who runs it and he robbed us of at least 3 cups, I have been compiling video and I am writing a book on this('') , john garret and nuck fans will love it Oh and another thing I have talked to a former canuck from the eighties cant name him and he agrees with me totally theres been injustice going on.
