At the outset of free agency, defenseman James Wisniewski was thought to be a good rolll of the dice for a team looking for a low risk, high reward option on the blueline.
- there is no such thing as a "low risk" defenseman, aside from perhaps third pairing/"7th" defensemen who get very limited ice time. If you have a top two pairing defenseman underperforming it becomes apparent very quickly.
On a similar note, I am waiting for Raffi Torres to officially announce his retirement. I will celebrate with a good quality beer. He said back in late August that he would retire if no one signed him. It is time to make good on that statement
