I felt they played a decent game between the blue lines and contained shots. Just a poor start. They really did improve in the 3rd and OT. Just sick of every year them starting games slowly. Shots dont make it all. Serious zone defencicies that need to be addressed. I do think Johnny is starting to get his legs back though.

I am really feeling better about Johnson right now. Hate the platoon but you cant sit him now. Was never gonna be a SC year so use it as a positive momentum to avoid another sleepy fall. Elliott can do the game after. If he drops another deuce roll Johnson a while.

Perhaps try to do it in between thoughtful posts to avoid further censure. It does get too serious around here so a brief moment of levity is welcome. Just not....always... personal attacks on myself and others. Gets old quick.

Your disdain for the Flames is pretty obvious, if you could at least find a way to troll with a sense of humor it would be much more entertaining.

Actually some real positives last night.

1. JH and Monahan combine for the winner. They needed something good to happen.
2. CJ looked good again. He might end up at least sharing the no. 1 with Elliott.
3. Kulak looks like an NHLer. A cheap 3rd pairing Dman with some upside. Perfect.
4. Ferland finally played well.
5. Tkachuk had an outstanding game with 2 massive hits and a goal. He stays IMO.

I would add:

4) Ferland was dominant. Seemed to have some good chemistry with Chiasson who looks like a great pickup for the price. They created a lot of havoc down low.

5) He also had a post! I loved his game!

In the end the top line and Gio/Hamilton don't look that comfortable out there yet, it will come.

Loving that the 3 and 4th pitched in with some goals. If the D can start producing as well would go a long ways as well.
