I really liked avitu's game tonight, he's got a knack for keeping the puck in at the line. More of that and more confidence in his offense ability and I think he could surprise us all this year.

Any additional help from teams while the Devils try to find themselves and gel will certainly be a benefit. So thank the Ducks for 20 attempts on the PP.

Schneider will be Schneider, they just need the team to gradually find their chemistry.

I feel like his lack of confidence is holding back the powerplay a bit despite 2 goals yesterday. Every time he does the same thing. He flies up about halfway, turns around and passes back. It can't be very hard to defend if you expect it every time.

Not sure how to really evaluate the team after that game... but they looked decent and I figure they deserve some time to gel. Like to see Kalinin and Santini in at some point.

Other then Hall, Fiddler and Auvitu stood out last night. Severson gave me some hope he'll be OK and that he and Greene can hold it together. Loved seeing Lovejoy stand behind our goal for 5 minutes and then ice the puck directly down. He's looked pretty bad.
