First of all....who the heck is "Stev Simmonds"? I really do think that before you post something that you should read it through once. You are making money off this site, some proof reading wouldn't be a bad idea.

And now to the main point...when has anyone counted on Steve Simmons as a source? I probably have more insight on Babcock's mental state than he does and I have absolutely no insight.

But certainly there are going to be teams wondering about their goaltending situations. Though the ones with injuries will be in a bigger pickle than the rest. No team is going to give up on a goalie after one or two games.

While I don't think he sucks, I do feel that he's AT BEST a below average starter who had his numbers pumped up because he played for a very good team with a very good, defensive system. I think he's going to regress a ton in Calgary........I thought signing him was a mistake as soon as it happened.

There's also Jimmy Howard of the Red Wings who has been available. Though his contract might scare bidders off.

Well, one thing wrong is that we never signed him. We traded for him & he has 1 more year left. A 2nd for him was far better than what Pitt wanted for Fleury & the cost of what Tampa wanted for Bishop...ie 6th overall pick.
