Still not totally sold on our D, but love the way Andersen handles the puck.

Yeah. All that the speed starts from the back-end with puck moving dmen and even puck moving goalie.

You can start to see an overall team identity emerging.

And pretty to watch..

what I love is these kids are making some highly regarded top end NHL d men look completely silly.

1. Matthews on V. Hedman in the WCH
2. Matthews on Erik Karlsson on his 2nd goal.
3. Marner on Chara ( no goal, but generated a good 2 on 1 chance with JVR after blowing by Chara in the neutral zone).

- vermie22

The kids can certainly play in this league, and have made the team... Now ,,, can the vets keep up to them.

I more mean our top 4

We know Hunny & Polak aren't the greatest ( bottom pair at best )...but our top 4 need to be top 4

Not sold on Z or Carrick / Marincin yet.

I think they stepped it up last game, but still room for improvement. tough week coming though and will be a good test for them vs some of the bigger and more dominant teams of the West.

Oh yeah lums, the really softens the blow on that one

But in reality, bad times for both teams was to be expected.

you think Vardy wishes he could do it all over again and sign with Arsenal?

If we take 2 of 3 this week, it'll be a success

Then again, we have seen hot starts before end in lousy finishes.

Just gotta get stoked one game at a time

It would be a miracle. This is a tough little trip.

The good news is Matthews can go two more games without scoring and still be at a goal a game pace

The kids look good after only 2 games. But we'll know more after 70 games.
I wouldnt judge anything of anyone this month at all.

They got hits in the first game...except with runners in scoring position.
Bats in the 2nd looked horrible.

F'n Martin

It's difficult when you feel you HAVE to hit a home run and you have to swing at anything because you know it will be a strike. It is crystal clear that MLB wants nothing to do with the Jays winning the ALCS.

Lindholm wont be traded unless the Ducks really F up.
They'll move Fowler in the off season...should keep him this year for their run if they make it.

I wouldnt do Nylander for a Dman who is already a contract problem and has never proven anything in this league.

No they dont have to move him at all.

Just like Tampa and the Isles had to move their players.

They wont be getting crap for him, thats for sure. No rush to move. If anything, he'll come back to play.
