I played baseball for most of my life and actually got pretty far in it.
http://www.espn.com/blog/...gnificant-through-2-games

Although this article is talking about the framing of a pitch, there have been obvious ones that curved far enough out of framing that the catcher moved his mitt which should have been an obvious ball.

As a hitter, when you are forced to cover more of the plate than an even strikezone, you start chasing more curve balls and further away from the zone than you can hit.
This leads to two major problems with hitting
1. more strikeouts, as you are chasing balls that are too far. (which has happened to the Jays with 27 strikeouts)
2. lower hitting percentage. Chasing pitches are usually softer swings or "throwing the bat at it". This leads to more outs, ground balls, etc. (which has happened).

There should be consequences for umps, or take them out of the game for a pitch tracker. We have the technology.

I just want JB to not strike out. I realize he's better than me. But as a fan who gets a little angry when he swings and misses strikes, that just boils my blood to the point I say bad words.

I could be mistaken, but I think the Raptors are finally being smart about their unis and going white and blue. Unless I totally misread something a while back

So Prust still practicing with the Leafs, I read there must be something coming down the pipe or he'd be gone to Europe to earn a pay check.
