The Sabres have been great on the PK, and didn't do anything on the PP. See, it evens itself out. They don't really make a huge difference over the course of a year

They scored on the pp.

I think Lehner has been ok. Certainly not great. He's not the problem though
- sbroads24

He's.been OK, you're right.

It doesn't seem there is any "average" save for him. He makes lots of spectacular saves, and misses like on the 3rd and the OT, but there never seems to be a mere "gloves it and holds on." Rebounds in the low slot get cleared away or returned on goal. Pad save are directed sometimes into the corner. Shots that rise up into his chest protector flop down and he covers them in the crease, either with his paw or his torso.

But the puck always seems to bounce off him somewhere: he rarely just kills the play.

Frankly, I don't like it.

What do you mean? They scored on the PP tonight at least once. They were 4-14 on the year. I don't know how many ops they had after that, but I'd say that's pretty damn good.

He didn't mean THAT power play he meant the other ones.

I think he's better at rebound control than most goalies. Not that he doesn't give them up, but he doesn't give them up 5 feet in front of the net. I'm totally fine with kicking pucks into the corner, that's what they're taught to do.

Flames stole one. Got lucky on 3 goals.

Buffalo had the better chances but Lehner played well. I think he will be a beaut. Too bad our best goalie is your backup from last year. They should have lost.

You were talking about us not capitalizing on the 5 on 3 right?

That's a poopty way to lose.... Come on ref.

Was at the game Refs decide to put the whistle away with two minutes left, they missed a trip on ROR on a 2-1, and high stick to Moulson with 20 seconds left and that cross check was horrible. How do you not call that.

I was being sarcastic in general to turbo's comment about 5 on 3 and 3 on 3 and practicing it until they get it down.

Gotcha. Calgary also failed on a 5-3 though. Which is what I meant to point out.

I'd watch the game, because it's only about half the length of Heat, and it really was a pretty good game if it was the MTL game I'd say go with the movie. Man, I haven't seen that movie in a long time. The Usual Supects too, but I like Heat better.

Don't get me wrong, I like The Usual Suspects, but it was a) blindingly obvious that Spacey was Soze and b) totally overrated because of it. It's still a very good movie, just not that good.
