And here I thought they did it for the people

Teams trying to get to the floor might be interested. Teams with vacancies in their top 6 but arent looking to break the bank asset wise could also be interested. Or you could find a team with a similar situation. Guy who just doesnt fit there any more and needs a fresh start.

Some people here seem to think so.

There aren't any teams trying to get to the floor. That's a draft/summer thing. Injuries can't be counted on(I mean they can, but you know what I mean), and neither can "change of scenery" guys like Kane.

He's likely on this team for the season unless something really weird happens. Which is always possible, but you certainly can't count on it happening.

He fits anywhere in the NHL

Hefty contract, wrong side of 30. We already have our defensive center in O'Reilly.

oh i agree with that there isnt much that can be done now im just saying that in general they've probably written him off and that I really dont expect him around when theyre really going for it next year.

Kesler as a player is a player I'd want on my team any time, just not paying him almost 7 mil until he's 38.

He can play the wing though. Not sure if he'd want to. But early in his career before he was ready for C he played on the wing. Imagine a line of Kane - ROR - Kesler. Talk about hard to play against. Then you could have Reinhart - Eichel - Okposo. I don't know how Reinhart is playing on his off wing though. And having 3 righties on a line might not work out all that great. But still, it's nice to dream.

missing my point, never said here but, he fits anywhere in the NHL. I would welcome him on the Sabres.

I think they'll have a tough time getting fair value for him. Especially with their current cap situation.

Lindholm thinks he hold all the cards and he doesn't, the Ducks have a lot of good D and very good young D. him asking for close to 7 a year is only hurting him.

He isn't "worth" 7 mil, but I'd still give it to him in a second to get him on this team.

This is true with his situation in anaheim but any team that could afford to would absolutely pay him 7 mil. I feel like thats what hes counting on. Pay me or Ill find someone else who will.

I'd consider doing something like Ennis for Benoit Pouliot. They both have their issues but they both could use a fresh start.

As he is now, probably a 5.5-6 mil player. But I'd overpay for him
