Would have happened in the offseason, trust me. He has to produce to show teams.
- SABRES 89

I agree and I think eventually he'll put up a few points this season. Im not saying hes going to get a big return but if they wanted rid of him and his contract i bet theyd have a few takers.

We are? I just dont think he fits in with the makeup of this team anymore. Nothing to do with his abilities. I actually think hed get back to normal on a team that fit his style a little more.
- Sabresfan-365

There's more to the " Ennis story" he's not " normal", that's the issue.

That's what was being thrown around last night. My point is, you either want to get something for him, or you want to dump him on another team. If you want to get something for him then you don't dump him on another team. That's just bad business.

People need to forget about Lindholm, Ducks want cap relief not another big contract.

I know, I'm just repeating what was said last night.

All I remember was the its too much part for lindholm part. I guess i lean towards the dumping him on another team. I just don't see a fit here anymore.

If the Ducks keep losing we might see them make changes, watching that game now.

His career average before the start of last season was sitting at around .61 since then its been something like .45. Wouldn't call that "very near"
- Sabresfan-365

You're right, it was because his SH% was so terrible(5.3 from ~10) he actually shot 18.3 one year over 48 games, that if he shot his career average he would've been at his career average for ppg. That's what it was.

Fowler looks good, kid can skate and move the puck and he's not going to make much more money then he makes now.

I like him as a replacement to one of the other middle pairing guys we already have. We'd still need another guy imo.

We might be able to when it comes to Fowler, they want Lindholm signed so it might work with him.

Why would another team take him? For what? I just don't see it. Teams act based on their own self interest, and taking on a guy who might at best be a shadow of his former self for $4.6M for 3 more years, well that's just dumb, because he's clearly healthy enough to play, so no LTIR for him.

It didn't sound right when I was typing it, but I remember talking about it before and the numbers worked. I just forgot that his SH% was awful and for a player that's played almost 400 games that's just bad luck. It's not like Moulson, he was only 26 when last year started.

And here I thought they did it for the people

Teams trying to get to the floor might be interested. Teams with vacancies in their top 6 but arent looking to break the bank asset wise could also be interested. Or you could find a team with a similar situation. Guy who just doesnt fit there any more and needs a fresh start.

Ducks would consider moving Kesler for the right price.

I feel like in this scenario you'd have to let kulikov walk unless he took a substantial pay cut. Assuming you'd have found a 6th guy worthy of playing big minutes that'd be a lot of money on the cap even with gorges gone. But Im indifferent on kulikov so doesnt really bother me
