I thought they tightened up enough until Talbot biffed it on another two in the second. Scoring chance-wise, the teams were fairly close but Lehner managed to make a save or two while Talbot let virtually everything slip past him.

I thought they tightened up enough until Talbot biffed it on another two in the second. Scoring chance-wise, the teams were fairly close but Lehner managed to make a save or two while Talbot let virtually everything slip past him.

My view of the defensive players was definitely skewed by the fact Talbot couldn't stop a beach ball. However like Talbot they needed to be a lot better. And Lehner made the big saves, while Talbot let in dump ins from center ice.

Also gotta give the Sabres credit for playing McDavid so well....or maybe he just had an off night. Lets go with that.
