Lindholm is the real deal, and the perfect partner for Risto. I do Nylander for Lindholm 8 days a week.
- chilliard77

Wouldn't move Reinhart or Nylander for him.

Hell no on Reinhart, but Nylander I'd do.

10 goals and 18 assist's in 80 games for Lindholm, we need goal scorers and i'm not moving Nylander for him nor am i paying him more then Risto.

He's a defensive guy. He'd be perfect on the pair with Risto. I'm not worried about the money as long as it's not an absurd amount.

Dudes, it was a great day to be alive, it was a great day to be a Buffalo Sports fan. Bills didn't just beat the niners, they destroyed them like a good team would and the Sabres, Holy S! Can't believe they were that good defensively. McDavid was kept at bay. Great to see the Larsson, Gionta and Foligno line back together.

And it was over 70ยบ in Buffalo on 10/16, all in all, a pretty great day.

Maybe straight up, but certainly not ++. Lindholm is really really good, but we'd be in cap hell with him at $6M. I think we'd end up losing Reinhart then. How many good young forwards have signed bridge deals lately? Not very many. You can't afford to say Eichel and Reinhart won't cost a lot. Sabres only have $1.6M in cap space right now. $3.1M if they put McCormick on LTIR, sort of, still only $1.6M but they can go over by $1.5M if they put him on LTIR. Unless you're not planning on re-signing Kane then maybe it could work if you move out someone else, but that's a lot of cheddar locked up in only a few guys. There's a lot of moving parts, and the more complicated something is the easier it is for that thing to fall apart. I'm talking long term here, sure, guys will be coming off, but guys who will be making more will be coming up. Do you really want to have ~$16.5M tied up in your top 3 defensemen? The Sabres are currently spending more on defense than Nashville. By over $3M. More than the Blues, Kings and Pens too. And you guys want to add another $6M to that. Let's even say you subtract Kulikov and Franson. That buys you about $7M. $6M of that is Lindholm, and then you still have to find another top 4 guy. #Bago's contract is an albatross.

Well we'd have to move out a lot of cap to even fit him currently. In my opinion Kane hasn't done anything to warrant a raise, in fact probably the opposite.

You people overvalue Lindholm IMO, you don't move Nylander for him.
- SABRES 89

That's certainly arguable
But most would say top pair defenseman is more important than top line winger

Regardless...

The good thing is that we could offer sheet him & potentially not even have to give up Nylander!

He's better than Risto!
Certainly defensively anyways and I'm most concerned about how my defenseman actually play defense

He's been among the Ducks +/- leaders all 3 of his NHL seasons

Lindholm & Risto would make a really nice tandem imo

Thankfully it just came back up. Down for over 90 minutes. Verizon's been having a lot of issues tonight. Not just FiOS either, phone and cellular is down for some people. SMS still seems to be up though.

It's amazing just how much or our lives run through the internet. Mine was down for an hour and a half and I was starting to get antsy.

I know this probably won't get read until tomorrow morning, err, a few hours from now.

What is your sports "Make a Wish"/bucket list? And it has to be in the realm of possibility, no get handed the Cup from Gionta this year at center ice just after the Sabres won. And 2nd part your Sabres make a wish, same deal.

Everyone feel free to chime in. I'd be interested to know.

I'll start with mine. It's really simple. For the Sabres one. Go to the Bell Centre and watch a Sabres Canadiens game from their 200 level equivalent, or a box if they have them that low. I'd spend half the game there with beautiful French-Canadian anthem chick and the other half up in the press box with RJ and Rob(they're in the box together most road games that RJ goes on) just watching how they call the game. Then maybe meet some of the guys after just so I could kick Franson right in the d!ck. lol And then say I wanted to meet Shaw because "I like his style of play" I'd shake his hand and then just as he turns to leave I'd slew foot him and yell "How do you like that motherfvcker!!"

And for my normal sports "Make a Wish"/bucket list, unfortunately Formula 1 doesn't make 2 seater cars where a driver takes an average schmuck around the track at blistering speeds, but Indycar does. So we bring a 2 seater Indycar over to Monaco so Sebastian Vettel(a fellow German) would take me around the Monaco Grand Prix track as fast as he could go, and I'd be in control as to when to stop. None of this "oh that was a good one lap" I'd say "(frank) that, the goddamn tires aren't even warm yet!! keep going mother(frank)er! schnell! schnell!"

Those are mine. Let's hear everyone else's!

Broads, try and not get super dark with it. No poisoning of Murray's beer at the bar. No loosening/removing the top 3 stair treads leading down to his basement. poop like that.

Do you live in the city? down detector had a bunch of people complaining, mostly about FiOS, but some also couldn't get a dial tone on their land lines, and their cells didn't work either.

GEEZUS..... Would someone tell Brayton J. Wilson how to write a sports story... The Sabres "would" do this and O'Rielly "would" do that..... This guy is an absolute moron...

Sabres defense already better than last season, ranked 10th in the league in GA.

It was a good game to watch Ray, especially on the road after that debacle Thursday night. But let's face it, Talbot couldn't stop a beach ball. He stunk.

The most shocking thing for me last night was McDavid's invisibility. I have never seen him look like that in a game before. He always jumps right out at you.

Off night, or did we do that good a job on him??

They were using beach balls last night? How did I miss that?
