The Sabres 1st period was the most uninspired I've seen. Dump and chase and never come up with the puck. Worst team in the league. Toronto looks good with 11 rookies in the lineup.

The energy and intensity that Toronto has seems to be lacking from the Sabres.

It doesn't help that I'm in a bad mood. Found out my cat has cancer.

That is awful. I am sorry to hear that.

As a cat owner myself my whole life, I know how hard that is.

Yes.

They need to start taking some hits to slow them down.

Thanks. They tried to remove it but it's entagled in her salivary glands, basically inoperable. A carcinoma, no treatment available. She's feeling a bit better, but her days are numbered.

Love her as much as you can and make her as comfortable as possible.

Head up the whole way and he sniped it.

I think it is a very real possibility that the Leafs are not a year behind the Sabres, but are already pass them.

She kinda stays by herself. When she stops eating altogether, then it's time.

So what the heck is Bylsma's supposed system? God it's a boring team.

I waited all summer and then we're back to a team that can only score one goal a game, maybe. It's never ending.

You said it earlier, dump and chase.

Nobody capable of carrying the puck into the offensive zone.

That's where the loss of Jack hurts the most. I believe he was one of the best in the NHL at retaining the puck and possession during zone entries if I remember right. I do agree that the dump and chase style of play should be left for the 4th line and that's about it if at all.

Chase it and never come up with the puck. It's pretty bad when Foligno was one of the better players.

Probably. I sometimes wonder why we subject ourselves to pet ownership.

Kane out compounds the problem. One of the few fast ones.

Maybe because we feel sorry for them? Mine was homeless. I took her in 5 years ago when she was pregnant. I just found out she was forced to live in a cellar and was tortured by someone "slow". He used to pick her up by the throat and throw her down the cellar stairs. Then she'd hide in the rafters and he beat her with a broom. No wonder she's scared of brooms. Well, she had a few good years here.

That's probably it. I got both my cats from the SPCA, and growing up we got 2 dogs from there.

When I got my 2nd cat I knew I wanted to get another one, because sometimes cats on their own don't do well, but wasn't specifically looking and I was at Pet Smart and as I looked at the cats they had there from the SPCA there was one who was meowing and pawing at the glass while the rest pretty much ignored me. I couldn't resist. Best impulsive decision I ever made.

I have had three strays in my life and always wondered what their past was like.

I guess it is better not to know. That makes me mad people would treat an animal like that.

But it makes sense as to how much they love a forever home. My current cat is a save by me.
