honestly, I would put reinhart on the second line with ennis and fasching

role them as 1 a and 1 b

then role the 3rd and 4th lines evenly, around 13 minutes a night and try to play a more up tempo game

- homiedclown

That makes a lot of sense

On an offer sheet? That's 4 first rounders...Anaheim would match just about anything I would think
- teamvanek

$5,632,847 to $7,510,464 per First, Second and Third Round Picks

The best thing for Nylander & Bailey is to spend time in the AHL to develop
What's best for them long term is what's ultimately best for us
Can't think so short sighted

they lost 3-2 last night, 3 pp goals for the preds

they lost 5-2 the first game giving up 3 pp goals

seems they thought special teams didn't matter much either

Good catch. Who here would go 8.5 on Lindholm? Doubt they would match that actually. Four first rounders might hurt but also might not. Before Jack and Sam that was: Pysyk, Armia, Girgensons, Grigorenko

I cant believe this has dragged out as long as it has. I would've given him 7x7 without hesitation.
- Sabresfan-365

I don't even know how the Ducks can sign him at this point
He's made it clear he won't take a bridge deal
And they have like .3mil in Cap space
So even if they trade Fowler, they'd still have to trade another significant player to get enough Cap space for a 6mil + contract

oh I think 7.5 per gets him here

problem is they need to shed 5 mil in cap to offer that to lindholm

this is where the moulson, gionta, franson signings and the trade for bogo and gorges hurts the club

They took a lot of penalties because the Preds were controlling play 5 on 5

Under 7.5mil it's only a 1, 2 & 3
It has to go above 9mil to be four 1st rounders
And the Ducks are really in a tough spot to match anything
They have literally.3mil in Cap space

Sure
They'll make the playoffs
I think you're overreacting
Still plenty of talent
And it's not like they lost to scrub teams

Not that we'd get anything back...
but I feel pretty confident we could dump Franson, Gorges or Gionta
Even if it's just a late round pick
If we have to sweeten the pot a little, so be it
More than worth it to get a guy like Lindholm

No i meant the ducks themselves. Not sure why they are playing hardball. Move Fowler and pay Lindholm.

Long term Offer sheets are now calculated on a 5 year basis. So on a 7x7 offer sheet the compensation will be calculated as 49 million divided by 5, not 7. Thats 4 first rounders.

http://www.silversevensen...eet-explained-rules-guide

In reality, the Offer Sheet value is determined by taking the total value (salary, and signing/reporting bonuses), and dividing it by either the number of seasons the offer is for or five - whichever is lower.

Didn't know that
Just make it a 5year deal then
Lindholm would probably prefer that anyways
Gets him to another payday sooner

I'm sold. 5x7.5. I think Gorges is the one that would go as he's a little more expensive and has the extra year despite the fact that I prefer him to cement skates Franson. Is our Cap Space + Kane's IR savings + 3.9M enough to get us under?

If yes, pull said trigger.

I completely overlooked the Rakell signing

What an absolute mess imo. Not the signing the lindholm situation, rakell is good for that money

I would too. Strong arm them, either they move Fowler plus another contract to us for 50 cents on the dollar or we take one of the best d-men in the game for basically nothing.

Everyone said cleveland was a non threat. I rarely make bets but taking advantage of the average torontonians misguided overconfidence is some of the easiest money you will ever make. And this is coming from me
