Working the phones is not the same thing as making offers. The prudent thing to do is first, see how long Kane will be out, and second, see what is out there. These injuries aren't secret, the price won't change next week if he waits. Not unless there are injuries to teams he's talking to in this fictional scenario.

No calls are being made now, waiting to see how things work out with changing lines and maybe a call up or 2 if that doesn't work, then he moves forward. Only 1 game and I know it's 2 good players we lost but no need to panic right now. We still can't score and that's a problem.
