I'm undecided on Bylsma. Last year was his first with the team, so I get iti to some degree. But he tends to rely on his veterans which normally isn't bad...but when he leans on the over-the-hill vets...it became a problem.
I'll watch this team progress forward and evaluate later when the real team is together, but I do have serious questions about him and his system going forward.

disco dan had fire?...not sure I've ever seen that

Not saying it will be easy but losing Eichel is one thing but now with Kane gone as well it makes things a little more difficult. I figured when Okposo comes back along with Kane being there it might not be as hard with Eichel gone, I know that sound strange.

I know it's tough to do. But Tim might have to take away some of those toys.

Dan Robertson‏@DRTSN690

No suspension for Andrew Shaw but Senior VP of Player Safety Stephane Quintal wants to meet with him. An 'educational' meeting, says Shaw.

Unfortunately our lack of organizational depth really hurts us if a key player or two get injured. When you have ROR, Eichel, Bogo, Oko and Kane all injured (playing or out of the line-up), it makes it really challenging for the Sabres to put out a competitive NHL line-up. When guys like 37-year old Gionta get moved to your second line....yikes

Imo, there are no trades to be had. No team is gonna trade away a top 6 this early. Gotta make do with what they have and hope the season isn't irredeemable by the time Eichel gets back

I don't think you can find any team in the NHL that can recover from not having 3 of their top 6 forwards in the lineup.

Especially when one of the other players in the top 6 doesn't belong there at all (Ennis). He was hot garbage all last night.

Murray will be working the phones I was told if things don't get better and the kids don't work out. They will keep trying different line combos and shift players around.

i still want help on d. theres forward help coming- eventually. our top 4 d consists of 2 kids and 2 guys who i expect to miss chunks of time. that leaves gorges and franson playing more than youd like.

We need to make a couple savy low risk, high reward type deals. Yakupov would have been great. Claiming Pulkinen would have been good. Something along those lines.

i can see a team wanting to get rid of an overpaid vet for a pick/prospect, but we arent really in a position to just add salary.

Same Entry Draft lottery odds as the team that finishes third to last in the NHL

(approximately 11.5% to get first pick) and cannot pick later than 6th overall
Giddy Up! Fighter’s chance to pick first and a very strong chance to pick top 3… we’ll take it. The odds of the team picking in the top 4 should be close to 70%.

Guaranteed spot in the draft lottery for four years

Oh, hell yes! Even if the new team wins the Stanley Cup, they’ll be in the lottery the following year with a chance (while very slim) to get up into the top three selections. More importantly, this completely takes away any thought that the team may tank the first few years in order to move up in the draft. Make the playoffs or not, Vegas will have some ping pong balls that could bring the next superstar.

Ive been saying this for months.

Where are the low key additions that end up making an impact?

Lee Stempniak had 2 points last night
Yak 2 points

I can't believe that Leafs gave Anaheim the picks needed to draft him AND John Gibson, just so that they could move up and take Tyler (frank)ing Biggs

Hope that that cheers y'all up on this Friday afternoon
