Add the cost of living in Greater Vancouver, the traffic and parking nightmares ....
Add that I have a family of 4....
Add my 60" Screen at home and I have little reason to go.

So for 1/4 the cost, I could get some good Chinese Food for 4, stay warm and happy and inside and ..........well......... thats it.

I will buy an online 50/50 though.

Bang on. Was thinking exactly the same

Sound logic and the kid is talented enough to go and do just that...a kick in the ass to get him started

Yup, no different than threatening JV with a trip to Utica. Cant be gifting the young players spot, keep the pressure on them to be better. They either do it or dont, age and draft status wont earn them icetime

Mind blowing really.....teams should not be taking the path of the Leafs or Oilers...how well has that worked out for both teams over the past 10 years? I would say not very well...its not just simply tank then grab the best player then all of a sudden you get better...the sooner these teams actually come to that conclusion the better

I can't believe the voice of reason is coming from an Oilers fan.... we have truly hit hard times in Nuckland

Dude it's lotto draws guarantees you nothing so destroying a team for the hope of one player is not the way to build a winning team. The 1C can be found wherever they finish as long as they keep building to win and be competitive.... gambling it all for a savior is how you become a lossing franchise not a winning one
- Nuck4U

Also Nolan Patrick is probably closer to the next Bo Horvat than the next Connor McDavid.

It's possible that maybe WD wants to roll 4 lines equally as much as possible. Giving the sedins more rest. Honestly Bo can be the 4th line center for the entire season. As long as he plays like 15 minutes a game.

Both are good young players and I think they will come around...not every young talent can develop into a great player over night...throwing them into the fire when they arent ready does nothing but hurt them.....better to show tough love now

This is my view only .

Gaunce had a very good training camp. Bo was less as impressive.

Bo needs to change that. He has 82 games to turn it around. Go win your job back.

Well WD isn't saying that he is saying he likes him there because it's better for the team and he's mor effective with individual game. It's not a well play better so you can join Baer again answer ....

In reality it has nothing to do with me being an Oilers fan tho under those circumstances im more equipped then most to say that losing then getting the BPA sure as hell doesnt mean success in the future...it goes deeper then that...we should be used as an example of what not to do...just blows my mind that fans out there think thats something that can still work today

Trust me I scratch my head on this as much as the next person, but I do see if you shut down the Monahan Gaudreau line you have a good chance of winning. Bo may be the best option to do that.

Come on now...Bae was phenominal in Utica without Bo. I don't think there is any evidence that Bo "saved" Baertchi. Sven is a more talented hockey player in my opinion but Bo is just a beast.
- CanuckDon

I should've clarified that with "NHL career", I know it's an extreme way to put it but let's be honest, Calgary had given up on him and he played very poorly to start the season. He learned from both Bo and the other guys around him how to play at the NHL level, but much of his success and steps forward came from the chemistry the two had. Without that he could still be a fringe player.

Dorsett did shut down Crosby in the playoffs three years ago. Like I said if we shut down Cgys top like we have a good chance to win

Maybe if we had a better top 9 combo but more likely Bo playing with Burr and ugh DD will produce zero goals for ....

I guess a lot of the confusion comes from how everyone defines 4th line. If he's playing 15 minutes a game is it still the 4th line? Either way, I don't care if Willie wants to shake things up as long as Bo still gets the ice time he deserves.

Last time bo played with DD he had his best year ever and Van was awesome. I think Willie trying to limit the other teams scoring, which is the best thing for Van. A lot of 3-2 or 4-3 regulation wins is best. It's probably better to win tight games all year. If they get into the playoffs they will know how to win them. I think Van will take 3rd in their division.

Most of us have come to the conclusion that this is not a high scoring team. Maybe our best way of winning is to prevent goals scored on us?

The issue is: who he is playing with. What's the point of him playing 15 minutes a night if he is going to be playing with a couple of pylons most of that time?

Wasn't that last year?

Seems like the best prospect to date was drafted 21 st?
