He was better than last game. Flames broke down a bunch again and he didn't bail them out enough. Could have been uglier.

I think most people understand its a new coach and new systems. A huge shadow was was cast over training camp, or should i say a small shadow, with the absence of JG.

Things don't seem to be clicking, they will. Past couple years Flames have been a streaky team, see that trend continuing.

Goaltending, will wait till 10 games before I pull a Kermit.

Wouldn't say panicking. Questioning why Johnson didn't start? Yup.

We have another game tomorrow. A game off before playing the next night would be a reasonable message. If he has a medium or bad night (see: 6GA) then Johnson gets a start. He's a damn good goalie himself.

gotta say i though the chances of us beating the flames again was almost nil.

No point panicking about your goalie when it's the players in front that are the issue.

As fan of both teams. Im happy but also pissed. I loved Hartley, he might not of been best friends with his players, but he still got them to go out there and play at there best. And demanded they play with an edge. Both games now, you havent seen much of an edge from the Flames. I like Keiths kid, but his 18 and only trying to piss people off, not scare the other team. Why are they not gooing gun ho on PP that is what makes the flames backend so good. All the guys with heavy shots.

Tchachuk...like his game, but one year. they he'll have the mass to help out his style

Backs/frolik.... I think those guys are going to be fun to watch

Money/JG/Versteeg....needs time. wish they had a RW that bangs the net. but once those reads click G will follow.

Team FO% is great, thats a nice thing to see that will grow down the road. against the canucks I think the speed will play out. The young guy hype thing will die out.

but honestly I think a bubble team until the 1st RW is sorted out. a drat won't sort it. its a trade (with wides and I one of our D prospects or G)....still saying coyle...or nichuskin next year :O

Yeah I am thinking it will be BackLund that is traded for a missing piece. Not saying I want him traded, but he is our best trading chip. I can't see Wides getting us much.

Weird year though with the upcoming lottery. Looks like Coyle might be unprotected as well. But he would cost the Flames prospect depth dearly.

How many breakaways has that been in two games ? Must be an NHL record. They better tighten up or poor Elliott's going to have brain damage. And I'm pissed that Edmonton has McDavid. Maybe Katz and Lowe are a couple of geniuses after all.
