It's too late now but wish Etem was kept over DD to be sent down. I know not realistic enough based on politics and vet respect in room but now that Etem is gone DD should be next.

His presence is a problem now. No upside and role redundant and replaceable. He is keeping younger players with more potential out of the line up. Gud can fight and so can Pedan plus they win their fights. Plus fighting is just not part of the game like before it's more about scoring now. If DD was gone we'd have Labate up if say Etem was not seen as good enough now.

But I say again if all are healthy and Rodin is back in a few days don't send JV down. Send DD or trade him to the Ducks lol for a draft pick I'd take a 5/6. If not let his cap hit be taken on waivers. No loss when removing an impediment to more upside guy's into line up and away from WD's love of DD in overplaying him.

That said given where the roster is at now we seem to be all wondering what WD is doing with lines again? Biggest question marks are what type of system this team is going to play and how are they going to deploy the lines?

Look no further than the unorganized mess "chinese fire-drill" trying to exit our own zone.

burrows and DD are very different. You do need more than 1 role player however.
Its hard to comment on Skille at this time as I havent had enough viewing time on his play.
Labate is a short ways away from nhl. A year or so might change that. Soon DD contract will expire and a young gun can take over if theyre ready.
