Live a little....

Check out this brewery in your neighborhood, I was there last summer and was very impressed for an eastern microbrewery. You can also cross the bridge and get some awesome poutine afterwards. - belcherbd
I was just playing because Nuck4U posted "What's your pint" and then crying in my beer was in reference to the freak out. I rarely drink beer (whino), but I will certainly give your suggestions a try when I do. |

I have a weird theory......
Game isn't until Saturday........Those lines are for todays practice....Could Willy....(hear me out), be practicing "odd" line combinations, to create some chemistry when he starts to line juggle? I'm sure by game time, Horvat will be playing at least 3 line center, (I would bet on second line with Bar and Jake)......
It's possible.......isn't it?
- WelfareWerewolf
Flagged, the only possibility is Horvat is our new 4th line center. the organization has soured on him |

You actually consider the Canucks a team that is on par with Florida, with a chance to win it all with our mix?
I actually want the Canucks to go through the sucking like the Oilers and get high end talent to be able to compete long term. Just not the mismanagement of the Oilers that made it a decade long process - carsonagenic
Our best prospects right now Demko and Brock were not high top 10 draft picks. More like them are needed. JB can pull that off and develop them with a competitive team. Is it a Stanley Cup team not yet but until things gell no one knows. More pieces are needed and coming or being developed. That's the process. So in the mean time they play the games and try to win. Anything less wouldn't serve developing the youth being injected into the line up. Would you rather see them trade Edler and Tanev for mid level 20-70 draft picks so OJ and Tree can play now...? It's not like they have real tradeable vets and those picks wil need time. It's a fine line with bringing youth in to play and developing them. That said JV needs to play now given what's here to learn to be a top six. |

Well, that makes me feel better, it was bad enough that Horvat was on the 4th line in practice but once I heard you preferred a pale ale, things got a little too much for me.

in same breath WD says Edler's preseason doesn't matter, but Granlund's does. Seemed like lots of mixed messages from #Canucks today - VanHockeyGuy
That could only be confusing to an idiot (not you). Edler is our top D man. He didn't have to have a good preaseason, Granlund did. |

but hey WD likes to experiment. Just think he's fixated with the fourth line .... read my earlier post....
WD came out with Sutter and the Sedins last opening night when no one saw that ...that was because of Mcann camp surprise. Now we have Granlund doing same but can't agree Bo on fourth. But shooter Sutter line needs a playmaker like Granlund... putting him together with Baer without Rodin in line up leaves play maker short for all the shoot and defend types. This hand cuffs Sutter line into a checking role with little upside to put scoring pressure on. Canucks need balance in lines to compete or they will be too easy to shut down offensively. |

Due to your creation date I can't tell if your a troll or a fan as your posts don't seem to be complete trolls. You are right in the granlund should play with Sutter. They showed chemistry in the last preseason game and it would be worth a look to see if they can continue with it. |

Thanks for the levity Don........seems we are a high strung bunch.
Seems like the league, other fanbases, and ANALists have the Canucks pegged for a last-place finish anyways......I am betting this team will surprise a few doubters........
If not, I thought of the perfect Canucks 2016-17 song......

Holy Crap --- did I just read Mason Raymond is signed in Anaheim? What? Does he have pictures of the GM with a goat? - Beatle_john
Raymond Etem Bieksa and Kesler . Perry on the fourth line. Lindholm and Rackell not signed but Vancouver will finish last by most experts |

I agree, since coach's seem to like pairs i see them as the following:
Sedin/Sedin -
Baer/Bo -
Granlund/Sutter -
Dorsett/Gaunce
Loui, JV/Rodin, Hansen, Burrows can hopefully shift around depending on need or chemistry.

The canucks are going for the Cup. Need veteran leadership or they will be doooomed. |

Here is my take on Bo on the fourth line. My theory is he has been outplayed by Granlund Sutter and Gaunce in the preseason. I didn't have to dig too deep for that answer , the others have looked better and tried harder so far this season.
It will change but for now the others have been better.
For the asset management bunch
Forsling out Stecher in
Etem out Rodin in
Shink out Granlund in
2 nd round pick out Baertschi in
Hamhuis and McCann out Hutton and Gudbrandson in.
I really don't have a problem with any of the moves |

Why being new to posting here makes me a troll? Plus what do you find "trollish" about any of my posts....? For the record I have been a Canucks fan/supporter for decades no matter where I live or travel. Hockey fan second.
That said given where the roster is at now we seem to be all wondering what WD is doing with lines again? Biggest question marks are what type of system this team is going to play and how are they going to deploy the lines?
WD has created a defensive loaded bottom two and offensive top 6 in practice lines. But fans want to see more offense so wouldn't balancing the lines out for this make more sense or be more palatable to look at...?
Wouldnt this be better now:
twins with LE
Horvat centering Baer and Hanson
Sutter centering Granlund and JV
Gaunce centering Burr and Skille
But we all know how much WD loves DD no matter what he does ... and that's the biggest problem this line up has...not Sbisa....but WD's love of DD! He brings nothing we need anymore. So can Linden push JB too trade him or send him down when Rodin can play...? Wishful thinking

So who gets a free pass from the coach during pre-season? We know that Edler does. The twins probably. Do you think Burrows and Hansen get free passes. Hard to say.
Double standards are a super cool way to unite a locker room. |
