No, I think until proven otherwise, the Oilers are terrible....I just also happen to think the Flames are also garbage.

Pretty tough talk for someone whose team is ranks last in the league in power rankings and are going to be bottom dwellers this year

well before the game Wednesday I mentioned that Todd Cordell was little hypocritical when it came to flames /oilers trades and signings. Simply stating how one guy can say Russell will get exposed because he's overrrated and can't play big minutes. Then in the same day Calgary signs versteeg and plays him on top line. I took lots of criticism, which is cool, for my opinion and had lots of peeps defending there team's moves or arguing my point. Totally understandable!
It's only one game but after a 14 min display of pointless icetime for versteeg on a top line, well, he had zero points and a minus 2. For the smart people out there that say"welcome to the new NHL", and" you don't need a winger when 2/3 of line is good. It doesn't matter who plays with them"! I hope for your sake that the gm doesn't have that mentality cause it couldn't be anymore wrong. Versteeg brought that line down to a total minus 7 on the night. In fact Russell had more points himself than top line combined. It does matter and versteeg shouldn't see top line. Not being negative just sayn how it is.
will also mention that I told certain fans not to get overzealous on goaltending.....yet. Neither are proven starters, not writing them off but it's still a legit ? on The team It is an upgrade nonetheless though. Should be a better game for both teams tonight seeing how the game was sloppy and if Tkachuks in the lineup, tonight is the night he gets hurt. You can't go around slew footing players and firing elbows as a rookie and get away with it, welcome to the new NHL Matthew.

Thanks for that. I'm assuming you're an Oiler fan. McDavid is the only reason the Oilers will be relevant again. He's potentially going to be better than Crosby. But be clear if not for a lucky lottery win the mighty Oil would be sh!t for another 10 years. And isn't it funny that PC, BN, TM & now Wayne only joined the team after the Oil won the lottery...
