Maybe Gardiner wasn't responsible for all 27 shot attempts, but then you also can't say he was responsible for all 12 shot attempts against. And regardless, only 12 shot ATTEMPTS against him in a whole game is astronomically low. It's simple math really; the more shot attempts you limit, the less chance the opponent has to get a goal. Again, lucky shooting by the Sens and bad goaltending by the Leafs. Gardiner was very good, he won't be that unlucky on most nights. Andersen just needs to make some saves.

Todd's right. The fact that any NHL team signed Grossmann is hilarious. He's so bad he makes Kris Russel look like how people actually think Kris Russel looks like..........He's terrible. I could name five D off the top of my head not in the NHL who are better. It's just atrocious management.

Then again, look who's in charge.

The Flames lost mostly because of goaltending and Connor McDavid. However, they had more chances and shouldn't be too upset with their game, I don't think. The coaching and line combos though? I don't know. Wasn't firing Bob Hartley supposed to help them?

Dear lord you're stupid.
As I mentioned in a later post the comparison is to do with the fact that both had very high expectations entering the league. Both had a great first game. Aand to temper the excitement a bit as he will likely be played much tougher going forward and all of Leafs nation will lose their crap when he fails to score for a 15 game stretch.
