I was on the train this morning and somber to begin with. Trying to close my eyes and rest. Phone rings. Brayden got my note about the score of the game.

B: (with tears flowing) Dusty was wrong daddy.
Me: (with tears flowing) What do you mean pal?
B: (crying in full) He said he was packed and ready to go to Chicago after the game.
Me: (fighting it) I know buddy. I'm sorry. We'll get em next year (knowing we won't). At least the Habs are 1-0!!
B: Well that's good at least.
Me: I love you buddy. Try and smile and have a good day.
B: I love you too dad.

I'm tearing up once again as I read it on the screen. Life is really hard sometimes, as we all know. But moments like this one cannot be overlooked. They mean everything. Pls carry on with your day now. Oh, and one more thing:
