He showed some signs but mostly nervous and without full confidence just yet. It's like he never has played is a system with good defense or a goaltender who stops pucks or something.
I think he will be fine. Can't wait to see what he can bring after he starts to understand where to go. - BluemanGuruu
He looked ok in the offensive zone, but in the D zone he seemed lost for the most part. Jaskin on the other hand made some good defensive plays. With him or Perron on the wing and Berglund in the middle, Yak should be able to float around and cherry pick a little bit on that third line. If he doesn't start producing though, I could see him getting scratched in favor of Jaskin once Schwartz comes back.
Pretty good opening night for the league. Not for Brian Elliott though. I honestly feel bad for him. |

Yak will find his stride, but I could see Jaskin in for him if he doesn't start producing.
Elliott shouldn't have asked for a trade. Don't feel bad for the guy. Calgary definitely does not have our D haha. He will be a backup again in a couple weeks and Army will look like a genius for trading him. |

How yak look tonight? - Yeti1181
He looked like a guy that hasn't been coached very well in his young career.
Felt bad for Brian Elliot but we've seen that guy before, haven't we? |

I thought you guys got rid of the wrong guy till last night.
Gotta say, your team looks faster, more skilled and more disciplined than years past. This could be a real fun year for your team. Oh and that Tarasenko kid is pretty good |

Yeah he's ok.
I have no issues with Jake Allen's play. Only his ability to stay healthy.
I like how the team is constructed.
No Backes, no goalie drama, no issues with Hithcocks future, no problem. |

I agree. Everyone was freaking out about us loosing all the grit. Grit doesn't win hockey games, skill/speed does. Team USA proved that in the world cup. I like all the skill/speed in this lineup. We still have Rattie sitting in the press box and Schwartz coming back too. |

it's gonna be comical to watch our midget 4th line on the ice vs brodzy and reaves.. it'll look like children vs men size wise. |

Our 4th line looked dangerous last night. Wouldn't be surprised if they get a couple tonight. |

Yes, they did.
I do think they will be able to score some if they match up against other 4th lines.

I don't. He is such a whiner. He could have just stayed here. He forgets no Blues he was done in the NHL. |

evander kane got a taste of some karma.
reffing has been bad both ways. bouwmeester should have a penalty called on him everytime he wraps an arm around a player. and checking players wiout the puck is a penalty and minnesota is consistently doing it. |
