All these injuries and they put griffith on waivers. Just crazy to me
- TylerSeguin19

he got surpassed on the depth chart and didn't have a spot on the NHL club. they couldn't just send him down at this point without waivers so he had to be waived if they wanted him to be in Providence. what exactly were they supposed to do?

Is losing Griffiths a big loss?
- The.Commish

Meh. I just think he needed to have a great camp and he didn't. It sucks they lost him for nothing, but he knew this was a possibility.

Didn't see him coming back unless there were a ton of injuries or a yard sale during the season.

Honestly, the box it's shipped in will be worth less if you open it.

I understand griffith got passed in the depth chart, but that doesn't mean he wouldn't still be nice to have in our system. The season hasn't even started yet and we already have 3 injuries to roster player. And he'd be a perfect plug in on the 4th line tomorrow (Heienen-Moore-Griffith). Much rather have griffith here as a spare forward than not have him at all

ok but how does he sent to the AHL without waivers? he didn't make the 23 man roster so how do we keep him around?

I'm saying don't send him to the AHL, have him on the roster as a spare forward. Randell was on the team all last year and only played 20 something games. Why not keep griffith around for something like that? Like I said, there will be injuries

Acciari shouldn't be on this team IMO

With All the Issues this Team has going forward losing Griffith is not even worth batting an eyelash

Seems like the coaching staff disagrees. Accari is in and Griffith is a Maple Queef

Does anyone think Hayes had a good preseason?

I did t watch much, but it seemed like the younger guys played better than him.

No Bergeron makes this season opener suck. But these lines really leave something to desire. No Vatrano and no Bergeron. Those are two big parts of the forward corps moving forward. Hopefully Czarnik and Heinen bump Moore and Hayes. Still need to see more of Acciari and Nash to decide on them..

Gotta admit, I got a bit excited when I quickly looked at this and read "released" and "McQuaid and Miller" in the same sentence.

If only...
