20 goal scorer on the leafs last year on a one million, one year contract. Slot him into Rodin's position to start the season and then throw him on the third line or waive him if it doesn't work out...or keep him until the TDL and trade him for a 7th if you want. This would have been the definition of no-risk, high reward for a team that could use scoring.

Could be if healthy and all goes our way. I see us around 16-25...maybe going at the WC but doubtful unless JB adds a few more key ingredients.

Duthie and Ferraro pretty much had us in the bottom 5 or bottom 3 on last nights preview panel. Was kind of shocked O'Neil and Blob Mackenzie had us finishing out of the bottom 5...not quite good for the WC but not bad enough for the bottom 5. Gonna be an interesting year.

On the Flames stuff I have them in the same spot 16-25 somewhere in there. Jooris Colborne Hudler all gone is gonna hurt. But Brouwer and Elliott should help. Like Lefty said lotsa goals allowed by the Flames last year on D and they have Elliott who is trying to get from glorified backup status to 60+ game starter. If Elliott gets it done for the Flames good on him but I don't have the Flames finishing top 3 in the division or a lock for the WC spot like many do.

The Habs could very well be the only CDN team that makes the PO's this year.

red, I have no problem with you being here at all as you behave well and I see you regularly participate in canucks talk. I have interacted with you about the canucks as well.

However today has been a lot of flames talk within a canucks forum. Hijacking a canucks thread with ongoing flames talk isnt cool. It invites other teams fans to do the same and attracts trolls as well. It belongs in a flames thread. Please keep your posts in this thread to being about the canucks.

Good thing I didn't hijack the thread ...Canucks posters brought up the pacific division standings and the flames were one of the teams brought up ...the Canucks play in this division as well...sorry you don't like the convo but I don't come in here starting it and am allowed to comment here freely

I appreciate the extra info about the Flames.

It makes perfect sense to be aware of the other teams in the Pacific and why speculate when we have someone here who knows another team much better than us. People always complain about the East knowing nothing about the Canucks, why should we be ignorant to other teams the same way?

Not that it matters but I have zero issues with Red, he likes to talk hockey and his barbs at the Canucks are harmless. I do the same with the Flickers and he doesn't get upset about it.

100% agree. The people in this thread who don't like what he brings (talks just not about the flames, but pacific predictions, west predictions, etc etc) don't have to comment on his stuff. Sometimes (and I mainly mean most of the time) this comment thread seem to beat the dead horse of things that are long gone and over with. Its refreshing to have another fan come in here, take harmless and playful jabs, but bring an unbiased yet fair view on our team.
