I agree with Calgary. I think they will take the next step this year, reminds me of Dallas a few years ago. Winnipeg I think is in too tough of a division, plus I think I saw that their wingers down the right side are sophmore Ehlers, then rookies Connor, Laine and Tanev. That much inexperience I think will be in tough against the likes of Dallas, Nash, Chi, St.L - WhiteLie
I see scoring being a problem for the Flames.
Oilers could surprise ppl IMO.
Canucks need G to be hot & the PP to be middle pack for a WC.
All said too much has to go right for all 3 teams to be in the playoffs.
Jets r an enigma & in the hardest division of all.
In the Pacific any team that can dominate inside the division will be in the playoffs.
Can the Nux Oil or Flames do that? |

What makes you think the Flames will struggle to score? In the West only Dallas, SJ & Chicago scored more that their 231 goals.
Just wondering. |

I predict lack of depth will be an issue & the division is getting harder. |

I'm not too worried about the scoring ...they were tenth last year in goals ...they lost 30 goals in hudler and colborne ...I think between Brouwer, tkachuk, versteeg they can cover those goals
It will be the goaltending that makes or breaks this year ...along with special teams improving
I think the oil will be better ...I'm just not sure how much better ... |

Did the division get harder ? Too me it might be getting easier as the gap between the California teams and the rest has shrunk
I'm not worried about the scoring depth ...yet ...maybe in a month my tune might be different but I'm quite optimistic about the offence |

Flames allowed 260 goals against, worst in the league, I'd be more worried about tightening things up defensively than scoring. |

I'd be optimistic with simply having Elliot in goal.
But my prediction on scoring could be totally offbase too.
Time will tell.

That's more what I'm concerned with ...Elliott should be an upgrade ...I have to imagine Hamilton will look more like the guy in the second half of the season than the beginning ...so there's a few things that could help ...but we will see |

Yes i believe the division is getting harder.
Bottom feeders r not gimme wins anymore.
We could be in for interesting an inter-division races this year. |

That's the key really is as long as Elliott can be better than the hot garbage from last year things will be better ...how much better is yet to be seen |

I get what your saying about the bottom but I think the top has become much weaker than it used to be
The bottom might not be gimmies anymore but the top isn't necessarily losses either |

Not much weaker as much as not improved.
Result is top to bottom has closed a lot.
Anaheim is ripe pickins & an OS for Lindholm would be sweet |

red, I have no problem with you being here at all as you behave well and I see you regularly participate in canucks talk. I have interacted with you about the canucks as well.
However today has been a lot of flames talk within a canucks forum. Hijacking a canucks thread with ongoing flames talk isnt cool. It invites other teams fans to do the same and attracts trolls as well. It belongs in a flames thread. Please keep your posts in this thread to being about the canucks. |

I don't really like this red character. Negative slant towards the Nux and keeps talking about some fake rivalry |
