I wonder if that will happen once Rodin is healthy again. Either him or Gaunce I imagine but waiving gaunce means Granlund is back to the 4C role which I don't think they like. - belcherbd
is Gaunce no longer waiver exempt?
I think you are right about Gaunce being a better fit at 4C. Granlund has had his moments in the preseason too. |

If u want players to come to camp ready, yu gotta cut guys who don't perform.
Again Jake should go down, even if only for a few weels - Bieksa#3
I don't care, I never liked Etem.
Someone would have to go down once Rodin comes off injured reserve.

They could really have some difficulties if both JV and Granlund get off to good starts. Rodin coming back will make for very little wiggle room, it'd be rough to see JV play well and then get sent down anyways. |

Good problems to have, for we all know it could be Skille or Burrows or Dorsett that they will be forced to do something with if all the kids are playing well. |

Yep. Skille being the obvious choice. And who knows, might be somebody else hurt. Sutter might have a sore eye brow or hang nail or something |

To bad about Tree as well. Would have been better in Utica as well.
Any chance Utica brings in Higgins? Green was a fan last yr. He's a NY native
Also, is M Gretaig(sp) going to ECHL? And Demo and Blackman to Utica? |

Etem sucks, cut him loose.
Apart from a few goals in pointless games at the very end of last year he has never performed. He can't finish. We don't need another forward who can't score.
would love to see a Sbisa-Etem bundle for practically anyone who can pot a goal from the wing. |

I'm probably alone in this, but I think this team makes the playoffs - but just barely.
Team was a lot closer last year than most people remember. They were in the hunt until the TDL, then fell off a cliff.
Trouble spots in terms of the numbers - Bartowski and Weber, Centre and defensive depth, Vrbata having an off year...are all gone.
I think the team will be better than last year - Rodin, Eriksson, Sutter are all significant upgrades for scoring, there's more defensive depth (though no real stud) and I think importantly they've got a lot of options if people go down.

Putting a god damn piling out there would be more effective then Weber.
Bart would be alright as a 7/8 but not a regular |

Observations I've made in the games I've watched
Elder looks like the Elder of 4 yrs ago.
-Baer still looks weak on the puck
-Hutton is gonna be a a great player. Unbelievable how this guy keep getting better.
-Sutter looks good |

Players need value in order to trade them. Etem is already cut loose, waivers is the goodbye. I think AHL may help him adjust his game. |

Weber was OK offensively in his first year...looked promising, but yeah, watching him in game 6 vs. Calgary hurt. Bart was Ok in terms of offense (which the team needed badly) but a corsi bottom feeder...
A defenseman that can actually shoot from the point would be a god-send for this team. Haven't had that since Salo-Ehrhoff, though Edler has shown some flashes...but it's still weak sauce across the back end. |

I think it is possible but also unlikely. The team might of technically been in the hunt but outside of the first month the team never looked like a playoff team to me. The team was 24 26 and 11 going into TDL with 59 pts. They would of needed 29 pts over the remaining 21 games.
Going 14 6 1, I guess is possible but again unlikely. |

i've already predicted a top 3 divisional position conditional on key players not suffering serious injuries like last season ie:Sutter or Edler for example... |

I just don't see any scenario where we beat any of the California teams or minny |
