Whatever happened with Neil was dumb. You let a Cup winning GM run the show and not setup a committee. Neil is a fault as well for even getting into the situation.

Wow.....he should be thanking the islanders. Without the isles he doesnt have those pts playing alongside JT. Without those pts, he doesnt sign that ridiculous contract in Colorado.

He played fine last year. He was good when he needed to be. I don't know why you would suggest he's not "NHL ready". Maybe he's not an elite NHL talent, but he's young and he has played well when called on. Promising at the very least.

If I remember right, he was good early, they did a feature on him on Hockey Night Live, and he was pretty bad from that point forward.

Nah, I could care less, I'm not big on subjective lists, if that Matteau goal never made a list I wouldn't care. I remember how awesome it was just watching it. I do agree though the Nystrom goal, if I was making a list, was more important than the Matteau goal. So suck it.

He wasn't told because it was Charles' idea to use the Committee after firing Milbury. He began working in good faith, w/o a contract. When he was informed all his decisions must be approved is when the sh!t hit the fan and he told Charles he would not work that way. He handed the contract back and walked.
