Yesterday we were talking about how waiving Quine instead of PA wasn't done because PA wasn't competing for a spot with players like Quine. If a bottom-six player is stepping into the vacated position, wouldn't it have made more sense to waive a bottom-six player?

Yikes...he usually takes a while to get going as it is, and especially so when he's coming back from injuries. It'll probably be like March by the time he contributes in a meaningful way for them.

He played fine last year. He was good when he needed to be. I don't know why you would suggest he's not "NHL ready". Maybe he's not an elite NHL talent, but he's young and he has played well when called on. Promising at the very least.
