The thing is, the crap shoot isnt with the two young kids. Its with the other draft picks that havent been excelling, or consistent I.E : Strome, Lee, Nelson, Bailey
- kindlyrick

I agree except for Bailey. We know EXACTLY what we will see from Bailey.

Not a big fan of that. Not a huge fan of Chimera on the top line either, but in doing a little research he did manage to score 20g, 40pts last year playing in WSH's bottom 6. It may not be the worst thing ever.
- Harambe

I believe he got a lot of those points playing with kusnetsov

Correct and PP time. Chimer shouldn't be any where near the top 6 let alone JT's wing.

I like Chimera but he should not be in the top 6. He should be on a checking line with Cal and Casey. Prince should also not be top 6.

Garth had another offseason where he did not do enough. The first order of business should have been getting rid of Bailey. He then should have come up with a package of Nelson and de Haan for a wing for JT. This team still has too many question marks and this is after more than a couple of years of lottery picks.

Well at least he can produce with a skilled forward and not be Matt Martin out there with jt it's not ideal but who the hell else fits there right now we have 10 square pegs for 1 round hole again

Same #Isles lines as yesterday in today's practice: 16-91-25, 27-18-11, 72-29-12, 86-53-15. 10 and 13 extras.

I can never figure out the reasoning behind Cappy's line combos. It seems so random to me when I think about the players and their styles of play.

Nelson, for example, who scored the second-most number of goals behind Tavares on the current roster, is consigned to the third line surrounded by line mates not ideally suited to drive point production... If he's a guy you're expecting to shoulder a good part of the offense, wouldn't it make sense to put him in the best position to do so?

Cappy will never get these lines right UIF. Isles are better off moving Nelson now in a package for JT's wing before his numbers go down playing with lousy players.

Anders Lee hobbling to locker room after taking a slap shot to the leg during power play drills. #Isles

There isn't a player they placed on JT's wing that wasn't instantly better. Phuck Dave Simenko even scored on Gretzky's wing.
Chimer is fast, I'll give him that but to put him on JT's line is a joke.
The Caps let him walk and the guy is now on our first line

Yesterday we were talking about how waiving Quine instead of PA wasn't done because PA wasn't competing for a spot with players like Quine. If a bottom-six player is stepping into the vacated position, wouldn't it have made more sense to waive a bottom-six player?

oh man, poor lee. I hope he is ok. he was dearly missed in playoffs.

Why do we feel a need to put whomever we sign on first line ie Chimera.

Also I actually like Prince. he not scared to shoot the puck.

Not to worry, Ses we know that it wasn't JB or Pulocks slap shot so its at most a bruise and not a break.
