Agree with the first part. I'd be fine with waiving Quine, but not Berube. 3-goalie anomaly aside, if (when) Halak gets hurt, The isles are going to need a capable partner in net with Greiss. They don't have that in Bridgeport. McAdam and Gibson are not NHL ready. Besides, putting Berube on waivers would have almost certainly led to him being picked up and losing him for nothing. - Jethro09
Again, that is a (frank)ing stupid reason to demote a player. The way they go about it is borderline reprehensible. Also, last I checked berube isn't nhl ready either. |

The thing is, the crap shoot isnt with the two young kids. Its with the other draft picks that havent been excelling, or consistent I.E : Strome, Lee, Nelson, Bailey - kindlyrick
I'm not a fan of Lee but no one should really get on him bc he was a 5th or 6th rd pick. If his speed is a detriment to team then Snow should capitalize on a him making it to NHL as a late pick and move him. But how many times does a 20-30g scorer make it as a late pick..? Not many

I think you're missing my point here. I dont care what round someone was drafted. Im talking about homegrown. The isles team for the most part is built on homegrown draft picks, a few traded players with a few UFAs sprinkled in. The issue was about the two young draft picks (Barzal and Beauvillier) making the team. My point was that they are not going to make or break this season, but rather the other draft picks who've consistently been inconsistent.....the "secondary scoring" if you will.
I guess my point is that 10 years in, and this is Garths on ice product. If it fails, he should too. Its pro sports. My personal opinion im sure like most, is that he's not the man for the job. Look at what Yzerman has done over there in Tampa. They are favorites to win the cup, and the isles are hoping to get past the first round. |

It is dumb. It's similar to how they handled Nino. We can say he was a baby, but the Isles did a lousy job with him. Isles have done a lousy job with young talent. JT is a super talent so even they could not frank it up. |

Its not about that......the isles have brought in a multiple stanley cup winners. Its not a big deal to sprinkle in some talented youth. The problem is with the meat of this team, the secondary scoring. - kindlyrick
Its been lacked for years, I've mentioned it in the past. So why beating a dead horse? Snow cant assemble a legit roster. |

Look if the team flops and thats what it takes to get rid of this regime, im all for it. I've not been happy with Snow for many years for a multitude of reasons. We are all in agreement with the coaching staff. SO I say, let the chips fall where they may.....its a win win for us fans. |

Look im not defending Snow, i'll be the first to say he's not the man for the job. But, i will say the two kids playing this season will not be the demise of this team......rather the other 5 underwhelming inconsistent players. To me, Josh Bailey is a microcosm of whats wrong with this team......but hey, it starts from the top. When you have a back up goalie wearing a GM hat, are we really surprised by some of the personnel decisions?
The management is consistently inconsistent......its no wonder some of the players are as well. You had 4, 19 year olds invited to camp this year.......yet Nino wasnt even invited (he might have been 18). But, the point was he wasnt even invited to try out??? |

This Nino being a baby is ridiculous, team sucked, lacked talent and kid wanted an opportunity to play in NHL, so they plug him on 4th line, sorry I will defend Nino at all costs when a 1st rd pick wants to show that he can play but team/management is to dumb to consider. |

Pulock is not going to remain in the minors for long. I think its pretty obvious hes down there because they want to give Barzal and Beuvillier their nine-game look before deciding their fate. If they are to remain with the club all year, then one of Quine or Prince can be waived and Pulock comes up. Pulock is only in Bridgeport because he didn't have to pass through waivers to be sent there. He's not there because they don't like him or think he's worse than Seidenberg (I hope). - Jethro09
This is exactly what's happening, guys they only have 6 d men up with the big club they're going to see how the kids do in 9 games if they handle it then Prince or quine are waived and then recall pulock. There's no way they only carry 6 d in fact they did this so they can get a look and not lose a player. Now if one or both of the kids struggle then quine and Prince come in if not waive one bring pulock up but either way he's back after 9 games. I know we don't like the players but at least he's not losing more guys |

Im not a fan of Nino, but thats not the discussion. Yes, they completely mishandled him, and yes it made ZERO SENSE in not even inviting him to camp. |

I agree it's not going to be Barzal and Beau who wreck the season. It's the Strome's Nelson's and Lee's and the coaching staff and Garth that will make or break the season. |

I agree. Nino should have been on the 1st line all season. It was beyond dumb sticking him on the 4th line. Most of the blame goes to the Isles. |

And DeHaan, and Bailey, and Kulemin, and Hickey. All are Garths doing. All are inconsistent. So as I said. if this team flops.....Snow is gone as is his coaching staff, and we can all gather and chant Hail Hail the witch is dead. 10 years should be more than enough time to build a team to compete for the cup... |

Not a big fan of that. Not a huge fan of Chimera on the top line either, but in doing a little research he did manage to score 20g, 40pts last year playing in WSH's bottom 6. It may not be the worst thing ever. |

No worries KR Garf and co. took care of this issue with the Ladd, Chimera and "PAP" signings.... oh never mind |
