it just seens like people draw conclusion from looking at goals and points... while at the same time poopting on people for looking at more detailed stats and telling people to watch the game.
Id be surprised if anyone here watched much more than a few mins of him play. - senstroll
Me too. Yet some want him and don't know him.
I know Leivo and Brown and I'm not willing to make them sit in the AHL for a shiny new toy. Imo they did their time in our system and earned their shot. Pullkinen en hasn't

I would have taken a chance on Frk before Pulkkinen.

you can add him, send Brown down for now.
Players will get their chances..injuries, trades, demotions will happen
I have nothing against Leivo... He's big, can be gritty and get the puck in the corner... defensive first style guy but can put the puck in the net. That's a good 3-4th liner at the minimum right now. And he's got the talent to go up in the lineup if/when injuries happen. Keeper for me anyway - Delryk
I like Leivo as well. He does it all really-perfect 3rd line guy and has a nice shot as well.

he is 24y old.
could be a good depth addition, could be not..
i think it depends on his mentality/character more than anything (in comparison with the other guys on the team).
if leafs pick up a guy, i'd think it would be wedgewood instead of pulkkinen. - MaximusAurelius
Why would they pick up wedgewood with 2 guys on the nhl roster and 2 guys In the minors with similar stats?

I dont disagree but we have too many guys as it is. And I like sending the message to our prospects that if you earn a spot it's yours. Yoy also have to wonder why the Wings are letting him go. That's an organization that doesn't make make many mistakes.

because Leafs has one NHL goalie, with reasonable backup in Enroth.
not too much trust in AHL guys; Sparks and Bibeau never going to have proper NHL careers, just not good enough.
Wedgewood has more potential imo.
At this point, Joseph Woll looks good though. with goalies you can never know ..
Seems to me Leafs are more in need of a good goalie than another winger.

You're probably right about the bolded, but as I've said, you can't pick him and and send him to the AHL without placing him on waivers again.
So the Devils take him back and the player is in an infinite loop between two teams, never playing. His life is ruined and he kills himself.

IS THAT WHAT YOU WANT HUH? - Scabeh
haha
Actually, Leafs can make a deal with NJ on this - waive him for a 2nd round pick in return:
Once a team claims a player from waivers, it may not trade that player unless it first offers him to any other teams who made waiver claims for him. If the claiming team places the player on waivers in the same season and his original team claims him, the team may send the player to the AHL without placing him on waivers again unless he meets the criteria for waiver expiration below
