JV started camp/preseason a bit late. He'll likely go down to start for that reason, but be the first call-up guy. I like Guance and Ruutu to make the lineup though.

performance wise yes they are. But they seem to have gems for prospects. But that also raises the question was holland a genius drafter or did babcock do amazing things with those players that make holland look good? we'll find out in the next few years

Holland has always prized two-way guys over young talent. Losing Puulkanen for nothing is pretty bad considering how well he's looked in the AHL though.

We have 48 or 49 contracts out of 50 already.
Premature to fritter away more this early before the season starts.

No I get what you are saying there. I am saying that Neither Skille, Or Ruutu, will sign AHL contracts with ANY club. I don't see either of them signing two-way contracts either. They would be better set to hold off and wait for significant injury to a team and signed with them 1/4 into the season.

I agree he didnt have finish but he did get opportunities. Sometimes things just dont go in. If he keeps getting opportunities then he may end up with some puck luck eventually.

Detroit is a terrible team and he couldn't make their roster...why do we want a bottom feeders scraps?

I know I am in the minority but I prefer SKille. He is younger and a better fit for the 4th line.
