Thanks Carol great information, especially about th mysterious Tom Niilson. Can you expand why he would be needed for contracts purposes?

Amazing job Carol
I'm still in my underwear on my 4th cup of coffee, and you've knocked out your 2nd blog of the day.
Happy Thanksgiving. |

Yes, thanks for this. Matt Sekeres of TSN1040 says Nilsson has a sprained ankle and will be sent to Utica next week.

Nilsson will need to clear waivers. - Carol Schram
If you go on General Fanager and click on his name the very last line says the contract is mutually terminated |

Im still slightly confused on where that leaves Rodin and Larsen because technically they arent included in the roster on Capfriendly.com.
It doesnt look like they have room for both unless JV is sent down. |

That's in relation to his previous contract, his entry-level deal with the Leafs, who drafted him. It was terminated at the end of the 2014-15 season in order to allow him to go back to Sweden.

Yes, I think that's true. The question now is whether Rodin is healthy or if he'll start the year on IR.

He will go on injury reserve tomorrow and will then be put on waivers when he is healthy enough to come off same. |

So the waiver wire makes things very interesting today. |

Cause he has to read comments from goofs like you

I've noticed the FLames threads aren't usually this hostile ( at least not compared to the Canucks threads). I guess it only takes one spazz to ruin a cool vibe for everyone.

I think he might bite on Teemu Pulkkinnen but only if he sees him more like a Baertschi than a Shinkaruk. |

Is he a better option than Ganlund? I don't think so. |

Van is trying to make it to the playoffs this year I think P.A would be the better option if that's they're goal. 41 points on the worst team in hockey last season isn't bad, would defiantly crack the Canucks top 6 |

Different players I think. Pulkkinen has a wicked shot but has trouble making space on the ice to unleash it. Is he an AHL lifer like Shink or a young player like Bae that needs another chance? Don't know. |

I couldn't agree more. Dude can score, so he has value. Might even match well with the Sedins. |
