And in the meantime he should send Ristolainen a fruit basket? We don't have the cap for it.
- Sabresfan-365

Risto should've been signed months ago
Obviously we still need to get him signed asap
And if Kucherov is a possibility...
u make the Cap room
Trade a couple guys for scraps if that's what u have to do
Not that complicated

In theory no but hes attached to these guys. Id ditch Gorges-Franson in a heartbeat but doubt Murray would .

Will be on LTIR for a couple months
- cabin

That's what I thought...
wonder why Detroit didn't just put him on IR?
Then they wouldn't risk losing him

I hear ya...
but Murray would have to be nuts to not wanna ship out those 2 so we could make room for Kucherov

GMTM being attached to someone like Fasching could be understandable
But overpaid, aging, 3rd pair defensemen?

That would be inexcusable

I'm ok with that
But not at the expense of Kucherov!
(IF that's actually a possibility, of course)

Why do we want to give Kucherov 7.5 mill a year ? I'm thinking he plays on Tampa so take that into consideration first.

U don't think he's good?
I think he's a dynamic scorer
At this point,
He's probably taken over as the best offensive player on their team

And it's not like he wouldn't have plenty of talented guys to play with here

Cap would eventually become an issue...
but I'm good with sacrificing some of our mid level talent for one of the top10 (if not better) goal scorers in the league
And at 7.5mil,
That would be a steal in 3yrs

Fair enough
I think he'd light it up here on either Jack or Sam's wing though

U wanted Stamkos though, right?

We'll be able to sign Jack & Sam if we bring in another scorer now
Don't see why one would have to necessarily be done before the other

It's guys like Ennis, Foligno, Girgensons, etc that would get shown the door

Kucherov had more points than Stamkos last year, & was pretty close the year before as well.
Plus he's only 22

Obviously the kid is really good offensively
Is there something about his game u aren't a fan of?

i'm not a fan of giving out big contracts to players that play very good in the system they are in, he's a product of playing in Tampa IMO. There is a lot of talent there.

I just hope there is going to be accountability IF this team finds itself at or near the bottom of the Atlantic this season.

Bylsma and Murray both seem to think this team has 95 point potential. While that is a stretch, a solid 85-90 points should be the goal and at the very least some meaningful hockey in February and March. I don't need this team to make the playoffs. Just be within a few points by mid March so the kids can get some experience playing under pressure in the home stretch.

Having said this, the pundits and so-called experts are calling for another long season for Buffalo. I can't blame them. We have two big question marks for goalies, not much depth on the blueline and are depending on too many has-beens and never-weres up front.

Should this team regress, I think the seat is going to get very warm for GMTM and Bylsma will be the scapegoat.

It shouldn't be though
