Best way of putting it....we all know Hall is an allstar forward but what this team needs is BLUELINERS so if Larsson ends up being as good as people think he will be then it fills a massive need....did we win the trade? today no I dont think so but did we get "schooled"? cant really answer that till the season gets under way....too many what ifs....what if Hall doesnt produce for Jersey?...too many factors to judge this early

You're right, it is, but it's more by virtue of the players you drafted than any savvy moves Chiarelli made. Your picks were also gimmes. Any team who drafted where you guys did would have drafted the players you selected.

McDavid, Draisaitl, Eberle, Klefbom, Nurse, Puljujarvi and RNH. These are the reasons why you are going to be such a good team.

Picking up Larsson was great, but getting ONLY Larsson in return for Hall was a major missed opportunity.

NJ wins the trade atm, but in the long term, Edmonton might be the winners, especially if Severson cannot fill the position and roles Larsson used to play.

Time will tell...lets say Hall does his thing in Jersey and Larsson falls off a cliff here....that would be getting schooled but it amazing how many people have already made their minds up about this deal without actually seeing how it even starts to pan out first
