I think expecting him to see the inside of the new arena is extremely optimistic . This kid does not have NHL potential from what the St.Louis fans are saying.you might be grasping at straws to help yourself to come to grips with the trade.
Yak was awful. Now he is gone. Oh well. - Larsson_fan
Might be true (In fact, let me edit that post), but at the very least, I'm looking forward for that 3rd to become a 2nd!

Are you joking?
Can you clearly not read?
I clearly said BEST CASE SCENARIO!
Also, STL has a lot of depth forward wise! This is a huge reason as to why he spent time in the ECHL. I can guarantee you that he will be playing with the barons in the AHL this season.
Good job on making yourself look an idiot. - EdmHockeyMan
Actually, it wasn't himself he made to look like an idiot. |

Whoa, do you actually believe Schultz is a better hockey player than Russel? Comparable, yes, but better? - Larsson_fan
Not by much, but yes. I give him the advantage mainly since Schultz is younger, a RHD, and he is good on the power play if utilized correctly.

I would definitely agree that there's a reason Pulju got passed on. Maybe it's just that he was semi-injured and it affected his late season/post-season. Time will tell! - fry
I think you've spent too much time under a tin-foil cap. Perhaps he liked the Center better, maybe he is marginally better. the guy likely could care less if they are countrymen.
As for inside info...the guy works in North America..he doesn't scouts Euros anymore..you do realize the Oilers have an inside guy in Finland right? You may have heard of him, he runs the National team over there. |

Pulj was a gift to us. I just hope he doesn't follow the same trajectory as Yak. |

Tough comparable in my opinion. Schultz has a better up side in the long run, but Kris really embodies veteran leadership and a do whatever it takes until the last second mentality, something I think will benefit the Oilers in the long run. |

I didn't mind Schultz as a 3rd pairing guy with PP time, being a righty is good too...but cut the BS about ideal fit, age, contract etc and is he a better hockey player than Russell? |

Well seriously, I've only been around a day and I see someone intelligently question your post, which was pretty over the top with optimism , and you start throwing around words like Idiot?
Sorry, it didn't come across as particularly bright on your part. |

I might have been a tad bit rash, but that might be since I haven't had dinner yet.
I apologize. If fact, I'll delete the post. |

I think both are probably on the same par when it comes to what is expected out of them technically.
As for leadership wise and off-ice tangibles, Russell wins by a wide margin. |

Well, here's the thing....Yak is stupid. I haven't heard anything similar about JP until that Fry Wizard pointed out that there's apparent flies in the soup in regards to him falling in the draft. I wonder what it is? There's no chance it's a bit of bullpoop dreamt up by a FLames fan is there? |
