I'm very much looking forward to watching the team, especially Lehner.
His preseason SV% of .960 is stellar showing he has fully recovered from the bad ankle. Last year, he played 21 games and finished with a very respectable .921, upon review of those 21 games...if we delete his 3 stinker games his performance improved to .941.
I'm very interested to see where he levels off over a longer run....let's do hope he can put in 55 games so we can truly see what we have.

These last few moves for D and at F will be interesting. Fasching, Nylander, Grant all have a shot and Falk, Guhle and Nelson on the D. I think Baptiste and Catenacci go to Rochester and Falk will go on waivers for the purpose of going to Rochester as well.

And Cody McCormick on the ice this morning at practice.

Eichel gets tripped up going in on a rush and smacks his coconut into the post. He's a gamer though, got up and back doing drills.

My guess on the opening night lineup

Ennis-ROR-Okposo
Kane-Eichel-Reinhart
Foligno-Girgs-Gionta
Larsson-Grant-Fasching

Moulson, De-Low scratches

Kuli-Risto (yes he will sign and be ready to go)
McCabe-Nelson
Gorges-Franson

Guhle-scratch
Bogo- ir

Yes he is. His best decision would be to retire. Don't prolong it any longer.

What is he waiting for then? He should just retire. Maybe the Sabres will find a job for him within the organization.

Solid guess mhp, my only concern would be Larsson on the wing. There's enough evidence to suggest hes far more effective playing centre.

Foligno-Larsson-Fasching could be a really good third line, although you'd wind up pushing girgs to the 4th.

I guess I went for the veteran 3rd line knowing Bylsma likes the vets. You could see Grant play LW and Larsson at C on the 4th with Fasching on the RW. I actually like that 4th line alot. These lines also show how expendable Moulson is. He just doesn't fit on this roster.

Ennis puts up a solid 1st 20 games and is moved for a dman, thus correcting the bottom 6.

Solid d
Ability to score
Pain in the ass to play against.

Could be a solid playoff line which you need.

I think he'll bounce back, but im not sure an "in form" ennis gets you a d-man thats any better than what you've already added.

Yea makes sense. That 4th line would be pretty good hopefully larsson doesnt mind the demotion.

IMO he can get you a Fowler type guy.

Also their 1st rd pick should be in play this year.

Fowler type.

Unfortunately Ennis for Fowler is a lateral move salary wise for Anaheim.

Agreed. The big question is this lineup, if relatively healthy throughout the season is a playoff Team? I'm not sure.

They need to be battling for a playoff spot all year.

If they aren't then this is a failed season.
