Now you're talking about a different issue. If you want to look at value of contract, that's a different situation. There is no question that the Matt Read we saw the last two seasons, was not the same player he was when he first joined the Flyers, and that he hasn't been a good value the last two seasons cap wise.

Now let's look at the players. Tyler Kennedy, no reason to even talk about him, and it's asinine to bring him up in comparison to Read currently. Kennedy has not scored double digits in goals since the 11/12 season, and has only played 155 NHL games in the last 3 seasons. So you're obviously wrong with that.

Tanguay is strictly an offensive player, whose offense has dried up, and doesn't have the game away from the puck, and value on the PK that Read brings, so you're wrong about that also.

Fleischmann is not an upgrade over Read offensively at this point, nor a better player away from the puck than Read. Neither is Korpokoski.

So basically you just picked names out of a hat, and threw it against the wall to see what sticks.

Thats also incorrect. Those players are unsigned. Read is under contract with an NHL team.
