Radko Gudas will not be disciplined further for his hit from behind on New York's Jimmy Vesey.
The league's department of player safety decided that a hearing wasn't necessary after watching video of the play. According to a statement from the department to CSNPhilly.com: "Gudas does not have time to adjust or avoid the hit once Vesey turns." Vesey wasn't hurt on the play, which probably factored into the decision as well.

The NHL discipline committee is a joke. Only a fractured spine or somebody's head exploding on impact will result in any changes.

I agree that vesey did turn and put himself in a bad position. Also fine with no suspension BUT the fact gudas always finds himself in this situation is another issue

It's a good call. Vesey turned right before it.

Embarrassing thing is how many Buffalo fans are happy that he got hit like he did just because he didn't come to our team after never expressing any interest that he wanted to. Oh well, guess this ride never ends.

Nah, they're pretty good about that. They've even flown people back here off of their vacations before during things like this, including someone who was home visiting Buffalo (not me).
