Boston makes sense but I think the Jets will demand a 1st Rd pick back.
Krug, Carlo 2017 1st Rd for Trouba and a 2nd Rd
Bruins have made I think 5 picks in last 2 first rounds they may be willing to move the pick. The draft itself thought to be mediocre at this point. - jjonah

You can't be serious, are you? Maybe we can toss in Bergy for Stafford as well. - shoreorrpark
We don't need Bergeron but if you want sure, we will throw in Stafford for him. |

There is no way Carolina trades trouba for hanifin. No way. That makes no sense for them even on paper. - prock
I think you missed the point of my post. I was just throwing stuff out there. The idea is that WPG has to keep their options open and not just try and lock in on a comparable dman who's a lefty. |

Only trade I see working with Pittsburgh is:
To PITT: Jacob Trouba, Ondrej Pavelec
To WPG: Olli Maata, Marc Andre Fleury - TheUltimateJet
I would do that in a heartbeat, but that makes less sense for WPG considering Hellebuyck is likely to establish himself as a starter very soon. |

It makes sense because no prospect is a sure thing. Who better to mentor our young goalies than one with a Stanley Cup on his Resume? |

Hey, I'm fine with it. I just don't see the Jets finding MAF necessary. |

That trade seems counterproductive for the bruins - highstick87
I agree why not just offer sheet him at 5.4 per and just give up a first and third |

He's got 2 but it's ok.
How about Pouliot & MAF for Trouba & Pav?
MAF is arguably the best player in that trade. |

He's also the most expensive and the oldest. Not to mention that WPG have two fantastic goaltender prospects in Hellebuyck and Comrie. They have no need (nor should they) to trade Trouba for a goaltender. |

People need to start keeping expansion drafts in mind. Helleybuck is not expansion draft exempt. At least I don't think. You can only protect one goalie. AHE years count as pro years for exemption so he's past the 2 year exemption as of next year. Can't protect both MAF and Helleybuck. |

To BOS: Jacob Trouba, Andrew Copp, 2017 6th Round Pick
To WPG: Torey Krug, Jakub Zboril, David Pastrnak, 2017 1st Round Pick

Well they probably match that. 6 mil and it starts to become questionable. And it's only a second round pick more. |

I said just as much in a comment in our thread. I was just expanding on the ultimate jets comment above. Trouba would be replaced by Pouliot who is a LHD, young & potential to be an elite Dman. But as the comment above points out, prospects are just that! That would include goaltenders. |

Yeah but you'll never know if either of those prospects can play if they don't get a chance. They ultimately may not turn out to be viable options as regular starting goaltenders, but I think it would be shortsighted to just ignore them and trade a monster asset like Trouba for a goaltender they don't need and can't really afford. |

so are you guys suggesting when a team has a player request a trade the GM should post a pic of him bending over with some lube and sign that says open for business?
the reason most players who request a trade, don't get traded right away is because the teams wont be taken advantage of.
it's funny how some people don't get that - Ross77

I agree with you. I was just going down the road the jet was walking down.
Depending on how close Helly is sitting the season on the bench for the majority isn't going to help his development. He has to share the load before actually taking it completely off Pav if he can. If he can't do that he needs to play in the A - it's what Murray has done. He only came in by accident & now is going to prove his worth before the Pens make a trade. We could use Murray as #1 & Pav his backup. Can the Peg do that with Helly? If not Pav is not a good tender & the Peg are getting to a point where they need good tending to go with their developing talent. The Oil have screwed the pooch big time in my opinion by giving the goal to Talbot. Winnipeg don't want to make that same mistake.
Trouba would actually be replaced by Pouliot. So how he develops is the bigger question I suppose. |

Doesn't a players NMC/NTC go bye-bye once they accept a trade or does it restart on the new team? |
