A few notes from tonight's game; I think Marner definitely earned the cup of coffee 9 games this year. I'd like to see him stay. Carrick's earned a spot to lose in the top 6. Corrado played well. Greening is winning me over to be a keeper, he came over as a salary dump but he's big and plays hard, which we need on the wing opposite of Marner or Nylander who aren't power forwards by any means. It was good to see they can win when not icing the CHL squad

Can't wait to see Zaitsev and Matthews for the first time in Blue and White. Also was impressed with Holland and Gauthier last night. The goat will never be a star or top 6 player but I do think he can be a useful 4th liner.

You have to remember that Horton's contract doesn't hurt the Leafs whatsoever outside of cash..Moulson is in the lineup, therefore counts against the cap. Horton goes to LTIR (where Lupol will be this season) so Leafs have that room on the cap.
