Yeah it's mostly their offense to blame. Their pitching carried them most of the year but they were playing above their talent level (imo anyway) so it had to even out eventually. - daeth
They need more Goins and Kawasaki - Arctic_AARDVARK
You'd think getting rid of those bums would help but nope lol. They didn't really have a single guy on offense have a career-type year. Last year half their team did.
The Jays can definitely hold down that 2nd wildcard but man oh man... the last month. I really don't have confidence in them even getting the wildcard game... nobody in the lineup gets hot or even DECENT at the same time right now. (frank), Travis was on fire for a while and the rest of the order couldn't do poop to bring him in. So frustrating.
I'm not too knowledgeable about whats in the pipe for the Jays. With EE and JB pretty much gone, it feels like the Jays are about to slide their way back into the ALE basement or close to it.

They pretty much moved out all their minor league talent to make this push the last couple years.
What an awkward looking kid. I saw a video of him fielding balls last year I think and he's just some chubby kid that looks like he put on a glove for the first time.

not a good fielder? I heard hes a potential 3rd baseman.. But i really dont know..
with what they gave up, could of had a decade of competing - poohcrumbs
They went through years of sitting on prospects and never making a push and never made the playoffs once. They had a window here with the division being the weakest it'll probably ever be. It was a calculated risk.

What a BS post , Eichel is no where near Matthews ....and for recent proof I didnt see one Eichel highlight in the WCH , saw plenty of Matthews....
On another note....Jays are so screwed , Detroit has a joke of a pitcher against them tonight lol... the end is near
DET - J. Zimmermann (9-6, 4.88)
ATL - A. Blair (1-7, 8.02) - CarlitoBrigante
The whole Mathews is so much better then Eichel thing is getting old.. let Matthews play a few games in the league how about. Eichel is a great player, one of the best up and coming in the league.

Yeah. I tend to think people are getting a little ahead of themselves. Also think Eichel showed pretty well in the World Cup, it will be fun to compete with Sabres though forsure
