I've seen both players play a ton in the AHL. Pulocks ceiling is a through the roof. He has special abilities can skate and is physical. Mayfield could be a bottom pairing dman if he can improve his skating. This is not on Mayfield but he isn't in Pulocks level of potential. I had a scout tell me that Pulocks low end is Brian McCabe and his high end is PK Subban. We'd sign up for either

I think he may play top 4 minutes later this season. If boychuk struggles again or is out for any length of time I think seidenburg will be 6 and pulock moves to top 4, but this is likely around the mid point of the season if he's not Richarded around.

Exactly why i think pulock stays up the entire year.

I just think someones going before the season and its dehaan or hickey

So, full disclosure. I've only seen both of them on TV. Strait played when they came to AZ.For the most part, I'm taking what is said from some posters here, you and Staple and going off of that. Since y'all have seen them a hell of a lot more than I, you have a better feel for their games. When the general consensus is Pulock is better than Mayfield, then Pulock is better. Therefore, Mayfield gets traded or goes to the AHL. I think it's simple. Beat out someone or be in the minors.

Pulock really creates in the offensive zone off the rush and has a cannon his d zone has improved no way hes not on this team. Also tavares has compared him to shea weber so theres that

Right. The kid has made it nearly impossible to send him down. He's earned his spot on the roster.

Isles are gearing up for a trade.

It wont be for that right wing we all want but they will ship a guy or two out

Theres to many guys on one way contracts and with thr expansion draft coming guys are going to get moved for prospects or picks

I could see hickey, bailey, berube and maybe even nelson all getting traded for something.

Btw we are not getting guadraeu or kucherov....were more likely to get perry from the ducks

- Flexingtheshaft

That would be a nice move, but , he has a no movement clause and makes 8. something mill for the next 5 years. How would the Isles pull that off??

Not realistic, just dreaming. Although, there could be some contracts moved to accommodate it.

And the game is blacked out thanks nhl

To make it worse i called directv to make sure my hockey subscription auto renews and she cant figure it out unsurprisingly shes from india or some other country and i cant understand her and she doesnt seem to know what hockey even is. Furthermore it started raining so hard all tv was out for 20 minutes so i hope the kids look good pissed i cant watch

Edit 2, i just lost it on this (frank)ing lady i asked if it auto renews and she tells me its free because she cant (frank)ing comprehend that the nhl network isnt the package god dammit what a stupid human

Amen. I went into at 4:30 this morning so I could get some stuff done. Cane home and did my honey-do crap. Now I can't even watch the game? What the hell was I so responsible for? I could have gotten up and just started drinking.

Ho sang can move and sweet hands/passing. Pulock looks solid. Mayfield still looks a little behind at times. Dal colles skating seems a bit improved.

Exactly im saying you have a better shot getting perry than geadrau or kucherov....since you cant get perry you def cant get johnny hockey or kucherov

There is no reason for there teams to trade them

Ho sang flew tonight but i noticed in the final minute with the goalie pulled he hesitated with the puck at the blue line and turned it over

Rookies will make rookie errors

Nice to see dal colle on the pk

In pre season where the game isn't up to NHL speed, this will put a player in the AHL.
You need to protect the puck and make the easy play, turn overs are a no no especially for a kid trying to make the team. This is the difference in my opinion in Barzal ans JHS.

I think it's unlikely ho sang makes the team out of camp, but the kid has skill and speed, I think he may just turn into a player for the isles, maybe as early as January

JHS can skate and he has the hands 6, he just needs to turn it down a notch and learn that sometimes less is more. Especially when less is the smart play.
That said I think JHS is Garf's best take a chance draft choice IMHO.

To me I actually was most surprised by Beauvillier. The kid can skate!! He has good hands and looks like he's going to be a good sniper. He has a shoot first mentality, which is nice for a change. He was playing on the top line with Lee (who I thought looked improved and stronger on the puck) and Bailey (SOS).

Barzal looked really good too. I'm still not sure he's physically ready but he has insane vision and touch.

Ho-Sang was impressive too. Great watching him play. Unless our roster changes and we pick up a top forward, I actually see him playing with Tavares in the near future.

Dal Colle looked OK. Wasn't overly impressed. He didn't really stand out to me in a good or bad way.

I thought Berube was good. NOT great. I don't see him as our future starter and I don't really see him on the team. I think Gibson would be a serviceable goalie if someone went down.

They have to try ho sang with tavares and ladd atleast once. I dont care if its for one shift

I want to see what he can do with such a great talent

Ho sang needs to slow his game down. I agree he tries to do way to much. Sometimes less is more at the NHL level

Beauviller looked good too. Barzal looks good playing against some vets. I think they also need to try him with JT just to see....id rather know that barzal cant play wing then to send him.back bcs we have to many centers

Bailey was lights out...... =P
