lines announced for Sat's game... I like Miller with Kreids and Zib.. that is a big tough line. I also want to see how Vesey plays away from Hayes. I think there is a chance Vesey plays on top 2 lines, away from Hayes.
Lapierre in again. I think AV is strongly considering him for 4th line C.... |

Not sure why Basil McRae's son are playing 2C today. He's no doubt a career AHL'er. Hopefully Gropp will be better than in Traverse; he was awful...

My Opine on the world tourney:
considering this is the NHL's promo ..."get back to the ice " and not the ones in your glass!!!!!!! nice to see the game again ,just a lot to lose & really nothing to gain .
I begged for a N A vs either US or Can. (the evil empire) ,this way its a no
way conflict ... who cares who wins its overlapping at that pt.
way to serious as usual considering supposed to be limited "hitting" tourney
It never reflects the real team & game or the PO's but were jonesin for hockey
Injuries : not my team but nicks & dings I'm sure ....
2 wks to the real deal ..I M O i see alot more trade action or unsettled lineups & available F A's as well a cap hits coming ( Leddy Boychuk??) types movin
I for one an amped up for what the NYR can do with the right move to set team
up for season run... Nash is right when he says his job aint safe ? not at 7.8 m
same for vet D w/ 5 Mill + tags & bounce bk plan ... 1 outta 2
D E P T H ......D E P T H .....D E P T H ..... D E P T H .......D E P T H
I MO we got a lot ...way more than we can control ......
It dictates what is suspect is sum major $ & vet talent moving for
transition D type strong top skill in all facets of D + PP QB
Gorts is still wanting to imprint his team & wash out the last 5 yr run ....
A V sees a lot of pressure on Nash & on Gman & Staal ..to expect all 3 to rebound back to form is expecting alot ...maybe 2 outta of 3 why guess
now is the time to make the moves to open up slots & talent to make
the now & tomorrow better ...
we have talent with top 9 possibles BUT not alot of experience or track record on wings
8 - 10 for 4th line options & PP even more possibles
D has at least 8--10 real possible to crack top 6
from that glut I hope shrewd moves grow out from..... gotta give to get BUt surplus allows for manuever-ability by Gorts ...we will see but this is almost like the Trade deadline comin type situation..... L G R
I dont see the finished product for Oct 12 out there yet ..at least i hope not |

You make jokes, but Lindberg and Jooris are both out. We need a 4C. We're signing Lapierre...
To be honest though, I've liked what I've seen from him so far. He can skate. |

I mean worst case they sign him to minimal contract and then send him to the minors or release him later on? Is that cap hit really that bad? I think its irrelevant either way. |

With how AV deployed Glass, I'm afraid that once Lapierre is signed, he'll be a staple every night even once we're fully healthy. |

Hey, I just noticed the Oilers have a NMC on Sekera, so they are required to protect him
then they have Larsson, Klefbom and Nurse. Barring trade, they will have to expose one of those defensemen in the expansion draft |

I think he's automatic protected. Something special they came up with in his ELC. |
