My point is how do we know Pirri is gonna stick? Cause of one good preseason game? This guy couldn't last on the Panthers or Ducks last year. - TPC
even if Pirri doesn't stick, the amount of forwards here is large, and then Lindberg will be back too

this is just dumb, suspended for pre-season games
Ken Campbell @THNKenCampbell 27s28 seconds ago
Andrew Shaw just rewarded for drilling a guy from behind into the boards by being suspended for three pre-season games. That'll learn him. |
|

Actually, I nominate Kreider.
Pirri's skill set is not that of a 4th liner. Neither is Buch or Vesey. Its a numbers game - mdw7413
Keep Pirri around as the 13th forward. Problem solved.
There will be injuries. There will be times this season where 2 or 3 regular forwards are hurt at the same time. God forbid a season ender to a top 6 player. That's where all this depth and a guy like Pirri fits in. |

Brassard was a 29 year old whose trade value was never going to be higher, I mean, who fits into the same boat? - jimbro83
No doubt it make sense to trade Zuke now. Not sure we have seen the best of him yet though... MZ and Zuke should be a great match! |

I just don't want to trade a Miller or Zucc cause of Pirri. That is my point. I agree we have to many forwards and something has to give. But I just hope they don't rush into trading one of the teams best forwards so fast. |

A 23 yr old who put up 22 goals is physical and is signed to peanuts. Yeah who would want a crappy player like that |

Still only 1 season with good numbers. Zuke would play top6 'everywhere', no way JT would. Zuke is a world class passer with world class vision! |

So, JT and Ottawa's 2nd for a top4 RHD? Maybe together with another good contract - Fast or Oscar? |
|
|
|
If Zucc is traded I would want a young top RHD in return. personally I think Zucc adds too much to this team outside of just his on ice stats to trade him but anything is possible. |

When the panthers traded him he had 24 points. I'd gladly take 24 point from a 4th liner. |

You need to take the Zuke goggles off sometimes.
I love the dude, hell named my dog after him, but there are other good players on the Rangers. |

I rarely wear them, but when I do...
But a world class passer with world class vision - YES
If only he could play with a bonafide 1C
Oh and if they trade him, name that damn dog of yours ZIBANEJAD |

You will never get an argument for me how good Zuke is. The writing is on the wall though, all his friends got traded away.
I don't want to see either Zuke or Miller traded, but if it was for a bonafide #1 dman to play with McDonagh, I would do it in a heartbeat. - mdw7413
With how the current market value is for a top pairing RHD, Zuke alone wouldn't be enough. - But I agree with you... And tbh without a trade to improve our D it's hard to see the Rangers as a true contender. |

Yeah I didn't mean a 1 for 1 trade.
Its going to be the weak spot this season. I think the offense is going to kill it this year though. |

Why does everyone constantly want to trade players as they enter their prime. If you wanna win the Cup you need to have players in their prime. |

Who wants to trade players? If you have an excess of players, you trade them to fill more pressing needs. That wasn't to difficult to figure out |

I can see it know that Pirri will parlay this 1 year deal into a 4 year $16 mil deal from someone next season after scoring 25 goals with us |
