I have seen that convert Jordan Suuban . That is nuts
- VANTEL

he sucks defensively. Watch more video on him. He plays like a winger.

Regardless, he wont be on D here. But could be on bubble for wing.

So, was watching Full Metal Jacket on Shomi......

I'm not sure turning to the game was worth it.

- golfingsince

Shomi is done. Couldn't compete with Netflix.

I watched full metal jacket the other night. Great flick. My wife had never seen it.

Ive said for like a year and a half now that subban wont be here....and that if he wants to be it wont be as D man.
When you watch him play its apparent he doesnt have the Defensive instincts needed to be NHL D. However he is talented offensively. The guy plays like a forward, specifically a winger.
There is no space for him here now or in the foreseeable future. The GM doesnt have confidence in you on D either.

Barring a trade......jordan Convert or miss your chance at NHL. Youd make a great winger

- SMBDragon

It's too bad that coaches can't come up with a way to go with a 3-1-1 system where D like Subban can act like a fantisista (highly skilled playmaking midfielder) that stays just behind the center and acts like a 4th winger in the neutral zone and have someone like Gudbrandson stay behind by the d-zone blueline to prevent odd-man rushes.

with tanev, guddy, stetcher all being rights and tryamkin able to play both sides. maybe your right. it doesnt hurt to give him another year or 2 at d to see what he can do. at that point if it doesnt work out can always toss him to wing, the transition would be quick.
- mauryballstein

like I said he lacks the instincts for D. His entire career has been based on his offense. The writing is on the wall.
Get him on wing in utica and see whats happens. Better than throwing away a career trying to push a square peg in a round hole

pretty sure its been done. Theres usually 1 D that is further back than the other. Hawks do this all the time, just not at mid field.

I like where youre going with it though

Etem isn't very good. He won't make the team.

Sedin Sedin Eriksson
Baertschi Horvat Virtanen
Rodin Sutter Hansen
Gaunce Granlund Skille

Edler Stecher
Hutton Gudbranson
Tryamkin Tanev

- Scooby_Doo

You really have tanev as third pairing guy

I like your first 3 forward lines

4th of:

skille/etem.. gaunce...dorsett

gaunce so far has looked better than granlund.. etem, skille, burrows all basically interchangable

That game looked better than the World Cup

LUcic looks like a seven year mistake.

Stecher will be in the mix for the Calder trophy ( not Cup )

Sbisa will be moved to KHL

Subban and his feelings will be moved

Belcher will admit he was wrong at Xmas

RedMile will not been seen in here after Xmas

Canucks will hoist the Cup ( not the presidents trophy, the real one)

You want to see some bad reporting go over to TSN

I missed some of the goals so I went to watch the highlights on TSN

Words can't explain how bad of journalists they are.

The entire highlight package is McDavid, and he didn't even get a point.
They don't show one goal, just McDavid

I gave up on TSN a couple years ago, after being disappointed with the coverage. NHL.com and sportsnet now.

Some observations today...

Canucks had some tenacity in their game tonight...

Stecher showed some promise as did Gaunce, another...

Thank goodness for the PVR, ferry was 45 mins behind...

Caggiula looked good, the rest of the stacked Edm team...

Blue Jays suck the big wad....

I didn't see the whole game, but nice to see Rodin snipe there. Good for confidence.

if JV is indeed 'out' with an injury, that makes the decision a bit easier. for now.

still need more time and some real games to get a gauge on where some of the bubble players stand.

I'm going to have to call Rogers to see what they offer me in place of it, as it was another thing that enticed me into my deal.

My wife hadn't seen it either.

I think she was shocked by the language 5 minutes in.

I'd make comments about the game but really who cares what I think. It may come down to waivers. Unless someone thoroughly out plans a roster player. Utica will be awesome.

Does it really matter naming the D first pair , second pair , third pair? If you find chemistry with the pairs that is what should matter.

Stecher made the O look like a threat and not like the predictable D we had last year.

Things I liked last night.

Not to get ahead of myself seeing it is pre season game number two , but there was some nice stories last night.

The D generating offense was the big story. Not only Stecher but Hutton. Stecher made Edler better and Guddy made Hutton better.

Rodin and Gaunce had nice games.

Our young goaltending looks decent on both nights.

The call up depth looks very good Carcone Labate .

Some PTOs look decent Skille and Rutu from game one.

I think this will be an exciting team this year. It won't be the disaster most outsiders predict.

I liked the speed of Carcone, Labate, Gaunce, Skille - and Stetcher/Hutton jumping into the rush and helping create offense, things we didn't see much of last year. The league is certainly moving in a speed and skill first - type of game. I like the balance on the D of people like Guddy and Hutton, its a perfect mix - the days of the 6.4' 220lbs Dman are over, that's why people like Keith, Klingberg, Krug, Barrie are having success - we're finally starting to see that on our backend.

exciting indeed

Pretty good game considering its preseason. Gaunce Lebate and the D look good. Caggiula is looking pretty good for the Oilers.

Rodin is playing, right?

- CubanBuffet

Yup - he played well last night. Scored didn't he?
